Not too many.
Smallville Supernatural Justice League Unlimited(the Cadmus arc of last year pwns) Pretty shot list, eh? TV is garbage today. Complete crap. Save for those three shows, I watch nothing else. |

I think that TV is better now than it's been in maybe 10 years. It was a very, very dark age for TV when Friends was the best we had to offer. UPN and the WB were trying too hard to cater to a certain audience, that they ignored quality for quantity. And while it's still prevalent today... five years ago was a time of disgusting reality shows. We don't see as much of "Temptation Island" now as we used to... instead, shows like "beauty and the geek," which is rather smart, and something of a surreality show. Which is to say, I loved the Surreal life, too. But "beauty and the geek" gives us a reality that just wouldn't have existed before. Instead of stupid shit like "Real World" where it's just people... living together?
, it's a convention that's finally being toyed with. And I am hoping that one day soon, Survivor will become extinct.I could say more but i am too tired. I'll say that I do actually enjoy Smallville, but I recognize objectively that it's one of the lesser shows on TV -- it's only a bit of a masturbatory guilty pleasure, with hot babes and comic book heroes. We all long for a little bit of that in our lives (lois and clark, mmmmmm teri hatcher 15 years ago). |

But "Vengeance" fucking rocked. This Maya/Angel character is so obviously supposed to be Batman. They even play a sutble variation of the Danny Elfman theme when she shows up. It was a great episode. But as for plans to bring him back, I don't think so. At the end of "Vengeance"(which is sadder than his actual death, btw), Clark and Martha are watching a home movie of a younger Clark and Johnathan driving around on a tractor. At the end, Johnathan looks toward the camera and waves, saying "Bye". Fairly clear indicator he's gone for good. But I hear a flashback/dream sequence of some kind isn't ruled out. |

You kill lana now, you jump the shark, you get one more season tops. You know that.
But the Jonathan thing pissed me off... 1) yeah who cares if it was him? I'd have let Lana die. and 2) I'm just upset that he's alive in the comics. So gone for good just pisses me off.but then I guess, Lois wasn't childhood buddies with Clark either. Whatver. Horrible show. |

The producers of Will & Grace could learn a thing or two from Scrubs. W&G used to be really funny (and, as a result, I used to actually watch it), but now every episode is full of guest stars.
Scrubs uses a lot of guest stars, but they integrate them into their existing stories really well (see: Mandy Moore tonight, Heather Graham last season, Brendan Fraser from the first season), whereas W&G puts guest stars on and says "HEY LOOK! JENNIFER LOPEZ IS ON OUR SHOW!" |
