Years ago (1999?) I wrote a spoof newletter called The Smack Down, which was set in the future (I think it was set in 2005).

Anyway, anyway.... the gist is, Bradshaw (then an Acoloyte) had morphed into an alcoholic character by 2005 and was embroiled in a feud with a down-on-his luck Godfather (who'd have known??) They then formed a successful team, called Alcoholics Eponymous, and feuded with a rowdy team of newcomers called The Big Time Drinkers over who were the best drinkers in the WWE.

(Randomly, a few of my joke predictions actually came true. And spookily, I predicted that by 2005, WWF's main television show would be called "Impact!". I wasn't far off. Same name, different company. Maybe one day I'll post those spoof newsletters, although they've probably dated a lot too. Anyway, I'm rambling now...)

But anyway, your idea reminded me of that.
