For starters: Zelda. The greatest franchise ever. Constant quality from this. Every Zelda game as been massively fun. Every time one is announced I can't wait and they never have disappointed me. Except with no 2. But hell even Mario 2 sucked, the two easiest formulas in the world they manage to somehow muck it up. Zelda 2 would have been a great game, if only it didn't have Zelda on the cover. (I would like to point out that Twilight Princess is officially the highest selling launch title for any system since Mario 64. )

Mario. Yeah everyone main Mario title has been amazingly fun. From the original to the insanely different no 2, to the brilliance that was 3. Not to mention the SNES' greatest achievement Super Mario World. But it didn't stop there Mario 64 took Mario into a whole new dimensions and goes down as one of the greatest games of all time. Even the HUGELY underrated Mario Sunshine was fantastic.

Ninja Gaiden: Ever since the NES I have loved these game, and they're rebirth onto the X-box was no different. Great titles. Nuf said.

Super Smash Bro.s: Only recently got into these, very fun games. Great with friends. I eagerly await the next edition.

GTA: 1 2, and London were pretty shitty. But 3 and beyond have been stellar. Huge games. 3 was fun because it was the first time I could explore a world this large. Vice City was good because you could make an empire. 5 was amazing because of the "Sims" aspect. I like the way this series is shaping up.

God of War: Period.

Knights of the Old Republic: one of the only good Star Wars games.

Bomber Man: It's fuckng Bomber man. C'mon.

there are probably more, but I can't think of them... maybe later.

The Warcraft series - I've put more hours into something involving Warcraft than all other games I've ever played combined times ten.

Final Fantasy series - Grew up on this shit. Although I think I've finally shaken my fanboy status of it by not buying FF12. I have extensively played every other game in the series, inclusing FF11 and FF Tactics (the best game ever made) I might pick up 12 down the road at a reduced price or something and check out FF13 when I eventually buy a PS3.

Diablo series - Played both quite a bit. My first real venture onto battle.net and internet gaming in general with the first. D2 was the first real game that turned me into a somewhat hardcore online gamer.

Quake series - still the hands down best FPS ever made, in Quake 1. Every other FPS has fucked up the proper formula for pure fragging fun. Quake 2 wasn't that wonderful but Quake 3 had its moments.

I'd almost be able to put Zelda here, but I never played Majoras mask and The Wind Waker. Thinking about picking up a Wii and playing the new one though.

Sonic
Tekken
NHL/Madden
Mortal Kombat
GTA
Smackdown
Shenmue (underrated imo. Very influential)
Metal Gear Solid.

To a lesser extent: Final Fantasy. I used to be one of the biggest pokemon fans.

I'm sorry guys, I was never able to get into Mario. It is influential, yes, but I never really cared much for it.

Street Fighter

I've really been into third Strike lately and think it's probally the best in the series.

Can't think of many.

I used to be hardcore about Mario.
Used to be Hardcore about Zelda, but I couldn't care less about the 3D versions.
Used to be hardcore about Street Fighter.

Currently, not many games. Samurai and Dynasty are the best examples, since I pick up all the warriors titles, sans the Empires (May grab that still) on release day or pre-order. In fact, they're practically the only games I preorder. The Aki N54 wrestlers were a good example, and so was DoR, despite its flaws.
