I don't even remember Rey's heel turny-ness in WCW and I constantly have to tell my friends WCW things. When was it? To my knowledge Rey was always a super-face.

I think he was with the LWO when they were heels. He was unmasked at the time.

Rey has slowed down and grown as a personality since those days. If it had good writing behind it (HA!), I think a heel Rey Mysterio could work.

At WrestleMania, they have the perfect opportunity to have John Cena turn heel. WrestleMania X-7 that shit. Vince McMahon marches down to ringside (with his new bald look), and Jim Ross is just yelling "What the Hell is Vince McMahon doing here?". McMahon then grabs a steel chair, cracks Michaels in the head with it, tells the referee not to disqualify John Cena or he will be fired, and then we get an F-U on the steel chair, and John Cena retains the WWE Championship. Vince then hugs his new Corporate Champion.

Cena comes out the next night in a suit, and let the good times roll. Of course the WWE is too stupid to do this.

Ahhh, the classics are always the best. That's just happy to visualize.

Also. Rey wasn't unmasked until after the new NWO forced the LWO to break up, in fact that's what inspired his unmasking.

Hall and Nash told the LWO to disband or face the consequences, Rey was the only one not to take his shirt off, so they lawn darted him into the production truck and beat him at a PPV in a Hair vs. Mask match.

The lawn dart into the production truck was very early into the original nWo run.
