of course, all the details that are supposed to convince me that a wrestler was right to refuse jobbing the belt to a guy he didn't like in his hometown before appearing on the compettitions program.

Sure, I buy it that...Didn't buy it when I was 11 and I don't but it now. Sorry Hitmen and Hitgirls, it's just the way it is. Bret was wrong. Life goes on.

Yeah, I'm a Bret fan, and have always considered him to be one of the best of all time.

And they may deport me for saying this, but I've never had sympathy for Bret regarding Montreal.

Cleared the way for Austin to take over, got rid of Bret from being around (no offense) in a time where he was no longer needed.

And perhaps most importantly, created the McMahon character and gave Shawn immense heel heat headed into Mania to put over Austin.

There is no "best there ever was." It's ridiculous to compare generations of wrestlers on the same standards. Bret's statement was great as a sales pitch, but it's really nothing more than that.

Yeah it suits him. He's the best wrestler of the past two decades. HBK doesnt touch him, in terms of storytelling, now knowing how to wrestle guys of different sizes and skillsets. BTW, HBK couldnt work a program with much people besides his buddies.

Bret gave these guys there best matches:

Diesel
Perfect
Piper
Austin
Owen
Bulldog
Hakushi
Bam Bam
Among others.

He wrestled in the greatest wwe match of all time. He as world champ and as a main eventer would do all he could to help the undercard....no other main eventer did such a thing, especially not Shawn.
His matches seemed much more heated and real then any other wrestler going. Plus he was the overall package.

Yeah, fuck yeah, he's the best there is, was and ever will be.

Reasobale creative control was granted him. Too bad for Vince...dont give him that if you cant honour it. He wasnt leaving immediately after anyways. He still had a month to go on that deal after the SS, so there was plenty of time to do something else that agreed with all parties, and for a guy that gave his all and everything for that company, Bret deserved it.

Vince outright lied, and then tried to act like a man about it and got knocked on his ass for it, and rightfully so.

Bret's career fell apart and he was put in his place in front of MTL instead of doing his job in front of them, rightfully so.

And reasonable creative control, it wasn't reasonable. He was out of control with it. I don't care what you did for the company, the company did a lot for him. And he should have dropped the belt. It also doesn't matter what he thought of Shawn, or what dilluisions he had about not wanting to "lose" in front of his hometown. It's called doing the job for a reason.

And to say he GAVE those wrestlers their best matches? Oh yea, the Pink tigheted Hitman fairy came in the middle of the night and gave them classic matches under their pillow. Yes he's a great worker, but he didn't GIVE those wrestlers their best matches. He gave his 50%. Seriously what a slap in the face to great workers like Piper, Perfect, Austin and the rest to say he GAVE them those matches. In many cases those weren't even their best career matches.

Seriously the Hitman is a legend, he's a great wrestler and I liked him. But get off of his miserable dick.
