Which trilogy has been this generations "trilogy"?
I don't mean a comparison to Star Wars, or neccesarily which is the better made film series technically. I mean culturally and popularity-wise, as well as how memorable and influential it has been. In terms of classic moments, characters, it's longevity, and it's popularity with all demographics. Which of these trilogies takes the cake as this generations saga?
I suppose box office gross, critical reception, and cultural impact are all factors but not criteria. |
