But all wrestlers, including Kennedy, DO have a legit reason to take steroids. Taking something that results in making more money and having a better position in your company isn't a legit reason? I guess there isn't a legit reason to taking college classes either

Well, according to CNN, the side effects of steroids are killing your family with pillows and bowflexes. So, I guess that kind of overshadows the making money in the wrestling business thing.

I think killing your family with pillows and bowflexes over a long weekend is indicative of something far deeper and disturbing than steroid use, not that it's good. But if that was the direct correlation Ultimate Warrior and Scott Steiner would be the equivalents of Jeffery Daumer and John Wayne Gacy

It's true I have it out for CNN so I slander them whenever I get the chance. I'm in agreement that performance enhancing drugs could have definitely been a factor and are really one of the only leads the police have reguarding the case. Also Jeritron, I do not believe taking roids to get successful is reason enough for them to be legalized or perscribed heavily, considering they have been linked to rage and in some cases murder.

I was kidding to a certain degree. I don't condone it, but if you condemn the action you need to examine the motivation and what causes it to be a sound decision to people, and thats risk/reward.

If there was no reward, it wouldn't be done. I'm against steroid use, but I can see why some people give in. Theres a reason why Lashley will probably come back and win the title, and somehow not come up positive in tests.
Lets use our heads, theres no evidence to support this claim other than an educated hunch, but I think everyone knows that Batista and probably HHH are using steroids and being protected. It's just you can't throw those accusations around when they have a wellness policy in place that uses scapegoats and can deny it. Paperwork and lawyers are more tangible than common sense and blatant visual evidence.

And Hell, I agree. And I think that the idea of prohibiting steroids in non-competitive ventures is stupid, anyway. Not to mention these guys are doing coke and heroin, and we treat steroids like it's the reason they're dropping like flies. Well, it might be, but howabout we rule out other factors, first? I mean, the radical volume of drug abuse, period?

Of course, that comes down to the fact that the wrestling "type" tends towards addictive personalities. It's not universally true, but there's a serious trend there.

I still say that the WWE picked and choosed who they wanted to suspend, because people like Orton went about scot free with everything, yet those that actually have a deserving chance to break the glass ceiling from those people that are ALWAYS there get shafted.

It sounded like they were trying to single people out. The WWE is FULL of hypocracy!

Orton had already been punished for this offense. If there are other "people like" Randy Orton who got off "Scot Free" I'd like to hear it, but not punishing one guy twice is not picking and choosing.

And believe me, I have no desire to stick up for Randy Orton.

Orton, to my recollection, is the only one not suspended that was on the list which was broken not by WWE, but by news agencies and the Government.

Actually, Scott Steiner is known as one of the biggest hot heads in wrestling. He hasn't killed anybody but it might be just a matter of time.

I drink enough caffeine in a day to kill a bull elephant, and my blood pressure is better than normal. Doesn't mean that it wouldn't make your heart explode. Or DT's, or whoever. Chemisty's a fucked up thing, and Steiner may not hear the little voices Benoit did (Exaggeration; he was paranoid, but not necessarily hearing shit), or be quite as affected.

I agree. I have no doubt that Kennedy has used steroids in the past for medical issues. The timespan doesn't exactly make sense, though. However, my big question is "Who the fuck cares?"

Kennedy probably should have let it go, but really, all he is trying to do is say "Yeah, I used steroids...here is why" bending the truth a little to avoid saying "I want Vince to push me."

I'm personally not worked up about it, at all. The guy wants to sugarcoat his story, let him. He's still one of the better performers the WWE has.

Never claimed steroids were responsible.

All I've claimed is that the specific symptoms Benoit had do match up to an actual side effect of steroids. And responded to a hypothetical, of course. A hypothetical that asked "If Benoit really did kill everyone while on 'roid rage...." et al.

You know, basically, I've refuted a claim that CNN had mislead the public, and chased the potential argument of why Steiner might not have blown up if that's what caused Benoit to. I'd like to think everyone understood that.

A fit of roid rage would under almost no circumstances last 3 days long, it's almost impossible. That isn't to say though that the roids he was taking didn't add extra stress or anxiety to his already travel-hectic life.

Well, I don't think it was literally "roid rage."

Well, that is to say (To be explicit), I don't think the steroids' contribution would be "roid rage."

Someone who takes steroids can, however, end up with paranoia, delusions, and mood issues which far outlast bouts with "Roid Rage."

Yep.

Which, to be honest, is the more likely culprit.

It just doesn't mean that steroids can't do it, or that CNN was necessarily wrong to think steroids might be a culprit, here.

Yeah, the drug problem isn't as bad as it used to be. That's why more than a tenth of the active roster was suspended at once, there have been two major deaths in the last couple of years, and so on.

I know he's being a company face and all, but still, it just makes them all look like lying carnies.
