Might as well, they immediately threw away the both men's storylines once Cena could come back.

I honestly think this is a terribly mismanaged Wrestlemania. They have more than enough stars this time around to put on a great show, that still operates within the confines of their current direction.
I think Edge vs Taker is a great choice. I also agree with Ric Flair vs HBK However, I think instead of this Batista should be facing Orton in a Brand vs Brand grudge match. It's a bigger match than him and Umaga. Umaga and Kane should be in MITB along with Jericho, Kennedy and the crew. I'll reserve judgement for whatever they do with the Hornswaggle/JBL/McMahon/Finlay and whoever else gets involved shit until it takes shape. Orton should have dropped the belt to HHH or Cena, who should have defended against Jeff Hardy in a one on one match. And Big Show vs Mayweather? I realize it's a fallback plan due to Mysterio's injury but if you're gonna have a big crossover event pitting the "worlds best boxer" as their putting it, they should put them in there with their "greatest wrestler". Their franchise and championship name. That means I think Cena vs Mayweather should be the second main event, with Edge vs Taker and HHH vs Hardy as the main event title matches. |

What bugs me about this Wrestlemania is that there's been no real long term booking for it, other than the Hornswaggle storyline. There was some good long term booking and storylines for Wrestlemaina 21 with Batista, HHH, and Evolution. Where is that this year? Cena randomly returned and won the Rumble. HHH became number one contender a month before Wrestlemania. Now it's Orton vs Cena vs HHH.
I don't watch Smackdown or ECW much, but Palumbo and Noble should have a Wrestlemania match. They've been feuding for a while now and Wrestlemania is the perfect event for them to end their feud. |

Really. This does seem misplanned. Or at least hastily planned. |

Umaga & Burchill would basically be the ambitious team, managed by William Regal, and Kane & Batista would be the defending face team, accompanied by Theodore Long, perhaps? You've got four of the better big men in the WWE competing (if you consider Burchill a big guy), and the match would be fairly solid. |

It's certainly an underwhelming WrestleMania, that is for sure. Except for Money in the Bank. That is shaping up to possibly be the strongest edition of the match ever, and we've only got four of the guys confirmed.
What WrestleMania needs right now, is MVP vs. Matt Hardy for the US Title. That was the feud of 2007 in many people's opinion, and it would certainly boost up the story behind WrestleMania. Beth Phoenix and Mickie James also had a story behind their little feud that goes back to 2007, I believe. Alas, that has been scrapped. I'm thinking that Mickie James might be responsible for the faces winning, however, and continuing her feud with the Women's Champion through Mania. |
