To even the score, have Gregory Helms join La Familia (possibly as the new guy boning Vickie Guerrero). Helms and Chavo had that tag team going before Helms was injured, and while they were thrown together pretty wildly, I really like the chemistry there, and was bizarrely fascinated by the story between them.

Helms was the longest reigning Cruiserweight Champion of all-time, and then Chavo Guerrero won the title from Helms (albeit indirectly). Instead of Helms being all pissed off and whatnot, though, it seemed he either really respected Chavo for being the next CW Champ, or he was keeping his enemies close. It was a story that I don't think was fleshed out enough, and although the dynamic would almost definitely need to switch to a respect thing ("We were the greatest Cruiserweight Champions of all-time!"), it's something I'd like to see continued.

As much as we pan the creative writing over at TNA (and yes I'm guilty of this too) the WWE (like any other marketable product) needs good competition - this is what drives you to make YOUR product better.

TNA needs to be a much stronger force in the business. Wrestlers coming off contract and jumping ship or returning to the WWE ultimately is not a good thing.

TNA needs to get it's act together and become a true thorn in WWE's side.
While I do agree with you, and having those five names would definitely be better for TNA's talent pool, I think that there is a flip-side to this argument.

Christian Cage has consistently been one of, if not the best thing TNA has had going for them. He was the first major star to actually choose TNA over the WWE. Kevin Nash has been consistently entertaining, and despite never being a fan of him in the ring, I think he has done far more good than bad for TNA, and he honestly hasn't looked too terrible in the squared...*cough*...hexagonal circle.

Team 3D, again guys I'm not big fans of, get more shit than they deserve. Sure, Bubba is crap in the ring, but he's fairly good on the mic. I remember reading an article about TNA's MVP recently, and when the chips were down on the table, Team 3D have been in a surprisingly lot of great matches in recent TNA history. They are great heel lackies for whoever they hang around with, and are recognisable. Then you have Awesome Kong, who was absolutely crucial in helping TNA's Knockout Division look so good from the start.

All are really important to TNA, but if they left, TNA wouldn't immediately die. They'd have a vacuum, and somehow they would need to fill that vacuum. If that convinced TNA to better use their homegrown talent (yes, laugh it up), and keep the talent that chose them over the WWE over them happier (and that doesn't mean constantly putting them over, it just means letting them be a part of a company not overshadowed by silly politics), then it could do them some good.

I've always been a fan of Helms, especially as The Hurricane, so I'm definitely down with that idea. Plus, he makes a great heel. When he plays off the "I'm the longest reigning champion in SD! history" thing, he gets some good heat. He's one of the few guys (I think) who can pull off being a face and a heel (much like Christian).

I didn't see much of that pairing before Helms went down, but I saw a match and I really liked how the two worked together, even though I usually can't stand watching Chavo. I'd like to see them paired up again since I missed it the first time and because I liked what little of it I saw.

Hell, I just want to see Gregory Helms in the ring again.

I'd love to see Nash come in as HBK's Manager or moral support or something, because of Lance Cade or whatever, and then turn on HBK.

Christian and Edge should feud for the title

Awesome Kong v. all the divas.

Dudleyz could do something entertaining I'm sure

You raise a good point here, but it shouldn't take five stars leaving to convince them to better use their own talent. Their lackluster ratings and not-so-great buy rates should be enough of a kick in the ass. I know, I know they're making money but that doesn't mean they're doing everything they could be to produce good television and a good product.

Making money was step one. Now they have to move forward and improve; with or without these five talents.

You're exactly right, but cue Vince Russo talking about how important ratings are, and then talking about magazines when the point of low ratings is brought up.

Team 3D is sticking around in TNA, which I think is good for both parties.

I'm hoping for TNA's sake that Awesome Kong stays. They took a huge hit with Gail leaving, and Kong makes the Knockouts' segments entertaining. At least she makes up for the ridiculous segments that involve the "Beautiful People" and their new stylist.

To be honest, I think staying in TNA would be the smartest thing for Awesome Kong to do. The WWE could offer more money, I guess, but she's not their type. Regardless of how awesome Kong is, the WWE would likely lose interest or fuck things up.

Team 3D staying in TNA is fair enough. I guess they have their smoothie store to think of, and they do get treated like major players in TNA. But to be honest, I think going back to the WWE would have been good for them. They'd get to rack up a few more Tag Team Championships on a bigger stage.

I totally agree about Kong. Aside from an awesome Umanga/Kong love story, WWE wouldn't have anything good for her. They'd ruin her for sure.

While it's true that Team 3D would get to rack up more [meaningful] championships, I think TNA is where they should be right now. People [fans] would certainly accept them, but WWE isn't the same company it was when the Dudleyz were there years ago. They'd get over at first, but then they'd have to change their image to adapt to the "new" style of programming and I can't see them doing that.

Apparently internal "sources" (not sure how reliable these are) suggest there is a 50-50 chance regarding what Christian Cage and Kevin Nash do. Personally, I hope it is to the WWE with both of them. At least for a little while with Nash. For entertainment purposes.

Latest updates: Beautiful People and Salinas' contracts set to expire soon.

I can't stand the Beautiful People (sorry, Destor) but they're a pretty big part of the Knockouts division so it's best for all involved if they stay where they are. People watch because they're on TV, so TNA should do all they can to keep them there.

Salinas is fucking amazing and should stay in TNA as well. She's a big part of LAX and again, people watch because of her (I know I do). She most likely wouldn't go back to WWE because of Dave, so I just hope she renews her contract so she continues to make weekly appearances on my TV.

Also, Nash is apparently headed to WWE. I'm fine either way as long as he doesn't get fucked over by either side (i.e. misused in the E or jobbed out before he leaves TNA).

That's interesting about The Beautiful People. They really are pretty crucial to TNA's Knockout scene at the moment, but I can't see them going anywhere. Actually, I can't see Angelina Love going anywhere. She was cut from the WWE before, and her gimmick just wouldn't fit the way the WWE treat their women, in my opinion.

Velvet Sky being snatched up, especially with Gregory Helms spreading her praises around, is probably much more likely. Especially if she just used TNA to advertise her skills a bit, to show Vince what she can do, so she can get some leverage in dealing with the WWE. She's a very hot girl, and she's not completely awful in the ring. Talia Madison in the WWE could be quite cool, and she's not nearly as much a focus of The Beautiful People as Angelina is.

If I were TNA, I'd definitely job Nash out before he left for the WWE. That's the only reason you keep those old guys around -- to make stars. If they're on their way out, it's time to get some mileage out of them. Joe should definitely bitch out Nash before he leaves, at the very least.

Salinas is very unlikely to return to the WWE, so I can see her signing with TNA. It gets her a paycheck, and puts her body on TV, which are two things I'm sure Salinas loves. She's a good part of TNA right now, and if she continues to train in the ring, she could be a distinct (and reliable) force in their Knockouts Division.

I'm wondering if TNA might put the TNA World Heavyweight Championship on Christian Cage in exchange for him signing a new deal with TNA? His heat with the WWE is apparently water under the bridge, and he's more likely to get better treatment there now, but I could see him agreeing to stay around and continue to help out TNA. I mean, No Surrender is in his hometown.

If Love were to leave, would you see it as a good idea to bring in another "beautiful person" to keep the group alive? Again, I can't stand them but they bring in ratings so maybe it wouldn't be a bad way to go.

As much as I hate to say it, I agree with you about Nash. It also seems like they are going that route (Joe bitching out Nash) now anyway.

Salinas could be very good, and it would be great for them if she becomes a big time player (or at least starts wrestling). Salinas as Knockouts Champion would be amazing. AMAZING.

This would be my mark out moment of the year. I would love to see it because I'm sick of seeing that fat piece of shit with the belt. And it would free him up for this New Blood/Millionaires Club angle, or whatever it's called, that's supposed to be happening soon.
