Yeah, I saw it at a friend's house a few years ago, and had never heard of it before then. I thought it was really good, and yeah it is ****ed up like you said. I couldn't find it in stores for a long time until last year I saw it on DVD and bought it.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

Yes, thats right, I said it. I feel it is extremely underrated as a film, the animation is amazingly done & almost beautifully flawless at times & theres something hauntingly beautiful about Danny Elfman's singing voice (as Jack). It will always be my favorite film.

The Boondock Saints

The movie is about two Irish Catholic brothers in Boston. Through a series of events they decide to kill all evil men, so the good will flourish. Willem Dafoe is an effeminate FBI agent on their trail.

Happiness

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0147612/

The best movie I have ever seen (besides A Clockwork Orange). This is seriously the perfect movie, in my mind. Like if I tried to write the perfect movie, this would be it.

It's the most ****ed up, disturbing movie you will ever see, guaranteed.

Plot: Bunch of different storylines, intertwined. One guy is a child molester, one is a pervert phone stalker, one kid is obsessed with being able to cum, etc.

My favorite movie.

Falling Angels:

It's a hard movie to describe. It's been compared to American Beauty but I liked this more. It's the story of three sisters and how they deal with their alcholoic and boarderline cataonic mother and Militant Father. It takes place during the late 50s and the 1960s (when tthe girls were little and when they were teens)

Gamera III

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0184503/

It's the final film in the Gamera Trilogy, and has a much more serious tone to it than any other giant monster movie; much of it from the perspective of the people in the streets. It uses fantastic special effects (despite it's budget), but doesn't stray too far out and take away the authentic "Japanese Monster Movie" feel of the monsters (Godzilla '98), as they still primarilly use costumes. After following the genre for the majority of my life, it's great to see this movie come together as it did.

It's not like this had a great plot or anything, it's not a "great" film, but it's the greatest in it's genre IMO.

Also, I think "A Simple Plan" is underrated.

les valseuses - 1974

i'm not sure what the american title is (*edit* - just looked it up, "going places"), but it's a french film that fucking rules. it's about these two guys who run around france assaulting women and committing crimes, and a woman who joins them tries to figure out why she can't get aroused during sex. it you liked a clockwork orange you'll like this movie. i'm not sure if you'll be able to find it at blockbuster or whatever, i had to order it online.

Welcome to the Dollhouse

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114906/

Such a kickass movie, from the same writer/director of Happiness. It won the grand jury prize at the Sundance film festival, which is basically the equivalent to their "Best Picture".

Plot: Insightful look at an unattractive 7th grader as she struggles to cope with un-attentive parents, snobbish classmates, a smart older brother, an attractive younger sister, and her own insecurities. (IMDb)

It rules, if you can find it. I'm pretty sure I've seen it at a few Blockbusters, so check that shit out.

I'm not sure if this is a well known movie or not, but I personally rank it as probably my favourite, so here it goes.

Title: National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon 1
Genre: Comedy
Plot: After a police officer's (Whoopie Goldberg) alledged suicide, her longtime friend (who is a Detective, played by Samuel L. Jackson), insists otherwise, as he received a call to talk about urgent matters. He is given permission to work the case, but only if he works with a burntout cop (Emilio Estevez) who shoots (and misses) then asks (stupid) questions later, which is exactly the opposite of what Wes Luger (Samuel L. Jackson) is like. Jack Colt (Emilio Estevez) is after something, too. The return of his companion Clair.

My dad got this for his birthday a while ago, and he never even opened it. One day my friend and I were bored, so we went looking through all our videos, then we came upon it, thinking it was going to make us even more bored. This underestimating attitude made the movie even more hilarious in our minds. If you only like watching things that make perfect sense, then don't watch this. It is completely off the wall.

This is a good ****ing movie even if you not really into westerns.

Wyatt Earp along with his brothers and their wives move to Tombstone to start a new life putting his life as a lawman and gunslinger behind him. Also coming to Tombstone is Wyatt's good friend, Doc Holliday. However, it turns out that "The Cowboys" a group of men, among whose members include The Clantons, pretty much act as if they are above the law. Wyatt would be asked to be Marshall but rejects the offer but his brother, Virgil who can't stomach the violence around him accepts the job over Wyatt's objections. Eventually a confrontation between them and The Cowboys is going to happen. And who will survive?

Kurt Russell .... Wyatt Earp
Val Kilmer .... Doc Holliday
Sam Elliott .... Virgil Earp
Bill Paxton .... Morgan Earp

Essex Boys

Locke (Sean Bean) is a crime boss just released from prison and planning to regain his former position on top of Essex's criminal underworld. He meets up with Billy, a cabbie who becomes intrigued by the power and thrills of a life of crime. Together they plan a deal with the local drug boss with explosive consequences.

When he comes out of jail and does some crazy shit. He throws a night club owner out of the nightclub, through a window in the second storey, then he rapes and kills this girl. His mate Billy who chaffuers him around gets caught up in it all, although he is this little pussy who thinks that everything that happens is wrong, he is getting good cash and is afraid to say no to Sean Bean incase he gets ****ed up.

Good ending too, I think its a very underrated film.

Wonderland (2003)

On the afternoon of July 1, 1981, Los Angeles police responded to a distress call at 8763 Wonderland Avenue in Laurel Canyon and discovered a grisly quadruple homicide. Ron Launius (Lucas), Billy Deverell (Nelson), Barbara Richardson (Wagner) and Joy Miller (Garofalo) were found brutally murdered, bludgeoned to death with a pipe, and Launius's wife, Susan (Applegate), was left in critical condition. The police investigation that followed--led by detectives Sam Nico (Levine), Louis Cruz (Frankie G. ) and Mike Peters (Gainey) --would unearth a seedy world of drugs and violence, ultimately revealing a motley crew from L. A. 's underbelly including ex-con David Lind (McDermott), nightclub impresario Eddie Nash (Bogosian), and porn legend John Holmes (Kilmer) as well as Holmes's estranged wife Sharon (Kudrow) and his teenage lover Dawn Schiller (Bosworth).

Bully (2001)

Raw, realistic, deeply disturbing and haunting film about a group of recently graduated high school kids whose lives are aimless and empty. With nothing better to do, they get together to plot the murder of their mean best friend (Nick Stahl), who was the only one bound for college and to make something of himself. With none of your usual Hollywood gloss and a well selected cast (especially Stahl in a creepy performance), this film has many powerful moments and completely draws you into it's story. Shockingly enough, based on a true story.

Unrated; Strong Sexual Content, Graphic Violence, Profanity, and Nudity.

Bonnie and Clyde

Clyde Barrow, recently out of prison, has turned to bank robbery. He meets Bonnie Parker and together the two form the nucleus of a gang of bank robbers who terrorize the southwest in the 1920s. Based on the true story of a pair of notorious bank robbers, the film personalizes them while still showing the violence that went along with them.

He Got Game

I DUNNO pretty interesting movie...Ray Allen is in that shit and he does a pretty good job. Has a lot to do with basketball, but the whole movie isnt JUST basketball so if you arent that big of a fan of the game you could probably like this movie. Its a "Spike Lee Joint" so you know it will be good

Tape

It's about three highschool friends who get together in a motel. It's pretty much only has three main characters (Uman Thurman and Ethan Hawke are in it) and takes place in one room. But it's still incredibly interesting and entertaining. It's based on a play and is directed by Richard Linklater who did Dazed and Confused and Waking Life.

Ok, Triple A is right about Amores Perros, it is a great film. Dog fights and all.

I'm going to say two films, first is

LA HAINE

It's a French movie about the race riots in Marseiile. A teenager gets beaten by the police, and his three friends try and get revenge for what happened. It just follows them for the whole day and the ending is great.

The other one is

THE WARRIORS

About the gangs in New York, who all meet up for a truce, but the leader of all the gangs is killed and it's blamed on The Warriors. Then they have to survive and all the gangs are on to them, whilst they try to get back to there territory.
