Yeah, tbh.. warranty was the best thing I ever bought for my TV. It's a Sony Wega 32", and we've had to get it fixed twice now I think. Pretty nice 'essentially' getting it for free, or for cheaper than it would have cost otherwise.

Actually, it's really not worth fixing HDTVs. The cost of fixing certain problems is almost as much as buying a new TV altogether.

Really? I've had my Samsung 42" LCD for a couple of years now and not a single problem...

That's the downside to warranties. If your shit never goes wrong, it's money down the drain. If it does go wrong, it's MORE money down the drain. It's why I love cash back warranties so much: if nothing goes wrong, you get a portion of it back at the end of the term.

That's half of the reason why I do not get them. My shit never breaks, or if it does we upgrade cause newer shit is out and ours is obsolete. The other half is cause that's the biggest money maker for stores (besides overpriced cables). I didn't know cash back warranties existed. What kind of places do those? |

I don't have a warranty on the TV or the PS3 . . . I probably should on the TV though.

Just another great time with Newegg. I posted a testimonial because it took a week for them to process an order, which is extremely rare. They emailed me and explained it was a problem with their system and credited me $6 for my next purchase, even though shipping was free and I shouldn't have bitched.

A cash back warranty seems like a pointless thing to sell to someone (from a seller standpoint) if you get any decent amount of your money back.
