True, but it isn't like Shawn's career has been injury free either. You can't really compare the two injuries I guess but you can compare the people themselves. Shawn had lots of problems, fixed them, and now he is one of the best in the world and has a semi-clean conscience. Bret had one problem, bitched about it for like 10 years and will die a bitter old man because of it.
