2. Developmental is where you learn how to work TV matches as well as incorporate the so-called 'WWE style', how to work within a strict time limit literally down to about 10 seconds ("Never run over, if you have to, go short, but never run over"), how to work the cameras, prepare you to work on live television, how to beat the shit out of somebody without actually beating the shit out of somebody etc etc, things Danielson has never done or has very little experience in. 3. The majority of WWE's fanbase don't know and don't give a fuck who he is. So having 'the Title put on him pronto and then go on legendary ROH style title run' is ridiculous. Just quit with the whole uninformed 'ROH IS SO MUCH BETTER CAUSE THEY ACTUALLY WRESTLE' bollocks 'cause it's pretty retarded |

I have never seen him cut a promo, but I think he has "the look". He has a Benoit-esque intensity and in-ring charisma that can make up for any lackluster promo skills he might have.

Anyway, fuck ROH, fuck the indys, and fuck Japan. Danielson has busted his ass to be the best at what he does, and this is his payday. If he can make a lot more money, working a style that, while it'd be more regular, is far less dangerous, than congratulations to him. |

Danielson along with all the new stars on SD! and other up-and-comers could do for the US/IC division today what Angle/Jericho/Benoit/etc. did for it in 2000-2001.

Danielson does have a few major things going for him.
1. HBK trained him, and speaks highly of him. 2. Regal speaks highly of him. 3. His move-set is safe, not that indy, and is WWE friendly. He'll probably lose his tiger suplex, and his diving headbutt, but that's about it. |

If he makes TV, I see him starting on ECW as Regal's American Apprentice. They could run an angle with Regal and Kozlov "training" him.

this sucks
apparently the wwe are trying to get even more roh stars on their roster so they can ruin even more wrestling talent. or i could be wrong and this maybe the boost to wrestling that we needed |

all that would be pretty damn good. |

That was built up so perfectly. The timing really sucked for ROH as he was on his way out but I would have loved to see him get a lengthy run as champ. Also his last roh match with Roderick was incredible.

It isn't booking that makes ROH. The booking is great yes. But the wrestling is the greatest in america.

I more meant how someone can great in another organization only to come to WWE and basically never make it as a serious contender.
Noble, Tazz (as a wrestler) Mike Awesome, etc. |

I’m sorry, but I just can’t see them making a big deal out of Danielson.
I’m stunned and am still stunned to this day about the run that Punk has got, but Punk’s indy waves were much bigger IMO than Danielson, plus Punk has Heyman for the first year with a rocket up his ass. Reason’s Danielson won’t cut it: 1. Pasty white skin 2. Doesn’t have a great promo 3. Was treated like a god in the indies because of his long ass matches, won’t be happening in WWE, so no time for a slow burner, he’s got 3 weeks to get over, then he’s fucked 4. With the above limitations, tell me something he offers that Jack Swagger doesn’t? I know he’s amazing, but that’s because he’s a fucking massive fish in a small pond. I want things to work out for him, really I do, but I just can’t see them giving him any real time to develop and therefore, think he’ll fail |

This has got me genuinely excited. No, I don't think that Bryan Danielson will be a World Champion is a few months after signing with the WWE; but let's face it -- he's a hell of a talent, and he's got so much backing going for him. Shawn Michaels trained him and William Regal trained him, which essentially puts him on Triple H's good side.
The dude pretty much has ready made angles for him wherever he goes. It may seem unrealistic, but with the WWE getting desperate for new stars, I can see them actually bringing him in as Shawn Michaels' student on RAW. That'd be the biggest push out of the gate for him. If he goes to ECW, he can pretty much be linked instantly to William Regal. If Regal gets a stable behind him consisting of Vladimir Kozlov, Ezekiel Jackson and Bryan Danielson, things could be looking pretty spiffy. Then there's the chance he could end up on SmackDown!, and there the dude will just have incredible matches. It's win-win-win, with RAW being the biggest gamble. I don't think the guy is as limited as some people say, either. He's actually got a personality, and can work some decent comedy stuff in the ring -- he's not a dead-serious bland guy with no charisma. His serious persona is a persona he had for the indies because it fucking worked. It was Benoit-style, no frills, going to kill you shit. They could try that with Danielson, but I can see him surprising us with a "fun-loving guy who then makes people his bitch in the ring" character. There's also the possibility they could put the guy under a mask, or something. They could then solely market him on his processed look, get him over on solely his talents and the mystery, and maybe even move a lot of fucking merchandise from him. By the way, the idea of a faction consisting of CM Punk, Bryan Danielson and Kaval sends shivers down my spine. |

So the WWE is apparently looking to sign ROH guys now? Which ones do you think could be on the agenda? The WWE picking up Chris Hero would no doubt be cool. He's been underused in the company, so he'd be probably willing to go, too.

I could also see them offering Tyler Black a contract. He's young, a promising talent, and would be a big blow to ROH.

I think after developing Danielson in FCW, the best possible thing they could do is bring him into the fold on ECW, and have him join Regal and/or his stable with Kozlov & Zeke, if the stable is formed and still going by the time Danielson gets there.
If Danielson's WWE career takes off and a year or two down the road he captures a few major titles, plus maybe the ECW title, once or twice, and he'll probably be ready for SmackDown! But not until he proves he's got the in-ring skills to make it beyond ECW level. |

I personally think the one thing Danielson should do in FCW, is work on playing characters. Agents and trainers and shit would probably admire him for not just working on skills he already has, but trying to become a complete entertainer. Plus, I'm just trying to picture Danielson as a Kurt Angle-like rookie -- a bit of a goof, who makes the fans laugh and whatever, but when he gets in the ring his amazing skills take over and he can be treated credibly.
