very strange and shocking.
Maybe he feels left out? I mean Stephanie is always at the stock conferences and Vince seems to push her more as his heir. I don't blame Shane for leaving and wanting to try something new in life. He will be missed.

I think he must have gotten sick of dealing with Stephanie and playing second fiddle to her and Triple H. I don't blame him but it makes me sad.

Linda is gone (for now) but I bet she will be back when she loses. Shane has been one of the greatest "Holy Shit" spot-monkeys of all time. Though uncommon with spot-monkeys is that he could also actually wrestle or at least he busted his ass to make up for it.

Unless the 3rd world start buying PPV's, I think he has the globe pretty covered.

I can only see him leaving due to a forthcoming conflict of interests. Not in the Vs Vince way, but in a legal way that wouldn't allow him to have his stake in WWE and whatever may be coming up.

Speculation, but more sensible than alot posted thus far.

Maybe he just wants to venture into other businesses and what I have seen recently that WWE is touring all around the world he is a pretty good businessman. Not only that but he probably established connections with a lot of international bussinessmen and inverstors so hes got that going also. If he goes into MMA and applies his smart bussiness practice he could have a pretty solid business.
