That makes no sense. You either accept the altered designs or you want the same old shit. You want the same old shit. You just said so. And these guys went out of their way to make them look like their G1 designs (more so than Bay and the various anime).

God, you are a retard. I don't mind if they update Ironhide from an 80's minivan to a 00's suv, or update the kind of jet Starscream, Thundercracker, and Skywarp transform into. I don't mind them beefing up the characters by putting a little more armour on them. I like the design for Soundwave and Ironhide pictured above. Not feeling Megatron and Optimus Prime as much. But I really don't expect you to understand what I am saying.

- Alternate modes are restricted to class, and are car, truck, jet and tank.
- After picking class, you can choose the chasis, colors and names.
- After completing this, you get into the meat of the system, choosing your weapons, abilities (limited to two) and upgrades (limited to three).
- Abilities fall into two groups - consumable abilities, which you need to collect Energon crystals to charge, and abilities with a "cool down" period after use. Vehicle modes also have their own, unique abilities, with their own cool down times. This also applies to single player and co-op mode.
- Upgrades are split into three categories - Offensive, Defensive, and General.
- Offensive and Defensive upgrades are tied to your character class. General upgrades are available to everyone.
- An example Defensive upgrade is given for the Scout class, a speed boost. High Moon goes on to explain how this can be combined with a General upgrade reducing weapon recoil.
- A perk system, in the style of Call of Duty, will be present to unlock new weapons and upgrades.

A partial listing of the multiplayer modes is also given by High Moon, and includes the following modes. Please note, these are not exhaustive and there are other multiplayer modes yet to be revealed:

- Team battle, consisting of two teams of five players each.
- Free for all melee, consisting of up to ten players going head to head.
- Deathmatch
- Team Deathmatch
- A capture the flag mode, called "Power Struggle"
- "Code of Power", a two and a half minute team battle where players fight over a powerful melee weapon.

I don't consider color editing pre-made character models "character creation". When I saw the brief clip of the process I just knew they dropped the ball there. Gameplay wise you have some decent options and the gameplay looks like a nice weekend or two.

I know I came into this with much speculation, but only because I sincerely love the franchise. I can say here and now: Want. It's been my observation that most developers that present walk-throughs as part of their promotion usually have something great on their hands (and end up releasing something special), and this looks like another example. This game looks fucking sweet now that I 'get it'. A true gift to Transfans in the making. Here is the vid that finally swayed me. Enjoy the fruits of developers who give a shit.

Funny enough, Starscream's back story includes being a scientist and working with Jetfire who is also a scientist (which never made since given Jetfire's size).

I was more of refering to the fact that only autobots have "trucks" as leaders. Megatron is a gun, cannon, tank or alien jet depending on what series you are looking at.

The actual characters aren't restricted, at least. And "gun" would be a retarded option anyway. Tanks and jets are already covered, and "cannon" isn't much better than "gun."

Also, I think there is an episode where Thundercracker invents some sort of gun to lock the Autobots in vehcile mode though that could have been the desctructicon who are also scientist but not jets.
