While there have been some entertaining moments from Santino Marella in the past such as the Honk O Meter gimmick and Glamarella with Beth Phoenix....it was at least entertaining form the aspect that he still got into the ring. With all the guest host gimmicks and spots, its become evident and predictable that WWE sees no ring value in him and more just of an entertainment aspect. I see no longevity in this course by WWE Writers and I think its already over-ran its course. Santino is on my list of guys that by the end of 2010 will be recieving the ever so famous WWE.com "Future Endeavors" posting in my book.

Santino Marella becomes obsessed with the idea of a leprechaun’s gold and spends a few weeks trying to chase down Hornswoggle, although it costs him a match, but when he catches him, Hornswoggle gives him his gold: the Cruiserweight Championship.

That would actually be awesome.

I hope they DO do that. It's dumb enough on their scale to use it and good enough on a "at least it gives Hornswoggle purpose" scale that it could work well.
