What does he mean by this? Well, in the same way a DVD of your favorite show allows you to choose the order in which you watch episodes, Metal Gear Sold V will allow players to choose the order in which they play each mission.

He also clarified that while missions may have their own independent stories; the player must still play all of them in order to experience the full over-arching story.

Kojima said this decision was made in order to give the player even more freedom in terms of how they play the game, on top of the open-world it already has to offer.

I had a thought. Just an idea I pulled out of my ass, really, but...

What if the endgame to bumping Hayter for Sutherland is eventually coming full circle and making a remake of the original Metal Gear? Would make sense to have a different voice actor for the aged Big Boss instead of having both guys sound like Solid Snake.

Also, in that made up wet dream, it would be cool if they incorporated both the NES airdrop insertion at the beginning and then make you sneak into the fortress via sewer/sluce entrance from the MSX version.

Already makes sense to have a different actor. He's older in this game, and he had a different actor for the end of MGS 4.

Snake isn't an exact clone of Big Boss. That's why they look and sound different when they're older.

So none of this different VA stuff bothers me in the least.

I've been waiting for the technology to catch up to the story for a while now and yeah, it wouldn't surprise me to see this happen on this generation of consoles.

Kojima said he'd like to remake the first 2 Metal Gear games, but he didn't have the man power to do that, and Phantom Pain at the same time.

So it's still possible we could see it in the coming years. Hope it's not a Vita game.

I played 1,2 and 3. 4 ust looked too crazy and too much shit. PSP games I skipped.

This looks amazing. I have the song on my phone now and have listened to it just about every day the last week. I was against this at first because it was kind of like "how do we play a game knowing all that is in the future.".

But hell, could be cool if they go all in on this then remake 1 and 2to bridge the gap. Alot of "Big Boss'" history seemed fleshed out already but I think with this they are kind of "rewriting" his backstory.

They started to show why he turned in MGS3, but he hadn't gone full heel yet. Still a lot to be told about Big Boss's transition from hero to leader of Outer Heaven.

To be fair, hes never really a heel...he was the good guy all along.

Sort of shows the middle part of his "change"

Starts at the perfect soldier, sees how the world screws and uses soliders, forms his own world to protect his people, in the end realizes that fighting was never the answer.
