With the Royal Rumble being really really boring, I was going to skip Wrestlemania altogether. Now I'm thinking I might download it the next day and skip through most of the matches and just watch the segments if there's going to be segments with the likes of Hogan as Warrior.

What numbers! People throw Austin's numbers when Hogan was in the infancy of ppv, you didn't have Wal Mart and stores selling shit, you pretty much had to go to an event or the magazine to buy stuff, plus ppv's, tickets and merch were a lot cheaper back then, especially the tickets.

I understand that some people don't like the Hulkster, but by bringing Hogan back for Wrestlemania, this instantly brings in additional views and interest from my demographic (grew up with 80's - early 90's WWF, hasn't watched WWE seriously since '03, hasn't casually followed for the last 5 or so years, only still on TPWW for casual and hockey).

Now I'm hearing news about Ultimate Warrior and the Hall of Fame?

I tested that theory too Arashi, people that have sworn off wrestling are really excited for those names.

Funny thing is they are not going to take up too much precious time, but if they did it would be for the better. It's fucking Wrestlemania!!! A bigger than life spectacle. Sure, you don't have to agree with the whole damn card, but at least try and enjoy what they have available.

Stone Cold and The Rock would be awesome to have in a segment too.

With it being Wrestlemania 30, if there was ever a justifiable excuse to bury the current roster (ok, that's a little extreme, lol) in favor of a nostalgic and historic celebration, this is it.

I'm not gonna get back into following the current product, but will enjoy the opportunity to see my childhood heroes one more time on the biggest stage.

Savage had runs with the belt and didn't draw well. Pick up any Wrestling Observer magazine from that era. They are online. That's why the belt went back to Hogan.

I know that is how he's perceived by some, but by supporting Hogan, it doesn't mean we want the current roster buried. I hate that term, buried.

I want to see Bryan and Cesaro, the Shield and all the others to succeed, most of them will. They have a bright future, a different era to lead. I'm a little bored of the formula going right now, but I think with a little help from the past for one night, another memorable performance will help solidify why wrestling is great.

well never mind... forgot after Savage dropped the WCW title to Hogan in 98, Goldberg won it a few months later, and in 99, Hogan turned face and went back to red and yellow after winning from Savage.

the WCW ones irritate me more than the WWF ones owen. using savage as a transition champ just to get back to Hogan makes Savage look like a stooge.

Gertner ,putting it back on Hogan was the right thing at Mania % because anytime you can close out your biggest show with the top babyface winning the title that's the way you go. But maybe Savage didn't draw well because they stuck Hogan with him for the whole year in lame ass tag matches

I don't think tagging with the biggest in the industry at the time and arguably ever was bad for Savage's popularity. If anything, it instantly made him apart of the main event scene without having to main event.

I was born in 1986. Hogan was well before my time, and by the time I was old enough realize what I was watching, it was Bret Hart, HBK, Diesel and Taker who were the main guys during my adolescent rasslin years.

But I completely understand Hogan's importance to the business. He's the fucking man, period. Other than Austin and the Rock, nobody can just walk into an arena and get the reaction Hogan can get. Even now, 30 years after he began his run, he's still a commodity that is almost guaranteed to get a massive reaction and have the crowd in the palm of his hand.

How having him host the 30th edition of the event he helped put on the map is bad thing is beyond me. It's clear that, regardless of his involvement, it's best for business and having him there after being gone for as long as he has is a great thing.
