Actually the game is made with new comers to the series in mind. The first two difficulties aren't as challenging as past games. And new star Nero is as new to the Sparda mythology as you presumably are, so it works. Most of Dante's scenes will pretty much show you what fans knew for years.

Hide your girlfriends from this ultimate badass, especially when he gets on his Lucifer speach.

Well, depends on what you mean by faster. It's reading more data at 1X than a comparable DVD drive. The 360 doesn't really take that long to load, and the PS3 still only loads comparably with the mandatory install. What I really love is how Capcom talked down to people who thought load times and a 30 minute install were a problem.

as a first DMC game i rate it a 9/10 with all of the cool combos and shit.
I'm on the son of sparda difficulty now. God that bitch at the end was hard to beat...

Has anyone figured out the relation between Nero and Dante? I'm wondering if Nero is a third brother or perhaps Virgil's offspring maybe? The latter wouldn't make sense in the continuity of the story though so I don't know.

Its a funny thing:

SPOILERS in black:

When Nero's DT activates for the first time with Yamato, he recalls a memory that makes it seem like he made a 'deal' to receive more power to protect Kyrie from some event previous to the game. The 'deal with the devil' premise seems interesting, especially if that bargin was with Virgil (the connection with Yamato can't be ignored). Could that ghostly demon behind Nero be Virgil's demon form? If so why didn't Dante simply remark at it during his second battle with Nero in the castle?

The Third Son of Sparda angle seems more likely, though. It's also the most obvious theory, with Sanctus saying he had the blood of Sparda within him. That could mean alot, however... he could be Dante's step brother, cousin, distant whatever. Who knows how many human females Sparda knocked up in his time. And Nero was an orphan before he came to Fortuna.

My personal theory: he's the illegitimate third son of Sparda, who carries the spectre of Virgil's demonic power. He said he heard a voice demanding more power, and Virgil did have a fetish for acquiring more power. Virgil may hav handed Nero his demonic arm, though it didn't awaken until it came in direct contact with Dante's Devil-Arm, Rebellion. Then the rest of Virgil's power came when his Devil Arm Yamato returned to its new owner. Hell, Dante probably knows the truth and let Nero keep Yamato on the basis that he is A) a Son of Sparda and B) shares Virgil's power specifically. Dante wouldn't let someone who had nothing to do with Sparda's legacy have one of the weapons left for his kids.

Devil May Cry 5 Ideas
I’ve logged in over 40 hours in DMC4, and there doesn’t seem to be any signs of me giving it a rest. I beat it some time ago, and my only goal is taking it on at higher difficulties. Then I got to thinking about how DMC5 would be. And after watching the anime’s first volume, it appears that the main star’s very concept had a gameplay premise written in there all along. This is my idea for a non-linear Devil May Cry 5.

This game will revolve around Dante’s office, Devil May Cry, as a central hub. From here you either take calls or receive jobs from Enzo (or Morrison, whoever’s more popular), Lady, and Trish. From there you choose your missions based on difficulty, harder missions offered to you when you complete the ones you take. There would also be secret missions and challenges. The actual missions would play out identical to how they do in past linear DMC games, with you earning demon blood during the mission (in combat) and money for completing it at the end (these two currencies play a part in my version of an upgrade system). A certain number of missions would be a part of a set that would be a chapter in the over-arching story of the game (whatever that may be). Another way to explain all this would be this scenario:

Faux Play Through:
You boot up the game and there you are behind Dante’s desk at Devil May Cry. Your phone is ringing that signature archaic ring, Lady’s playing pool, Trish is sitting on your desk, and Enzo (or Morrison) is sitting on the couch. Walking around the office, you can examine franchise artifacts like the Devil Arm Sparda and the remains of defeated Demons on the wall for quick trivia into the game series lore. In this hub you can also upgrade Dante, but I’ll get to that later. You can walk to any of the three characters or answer your phone for a mission offer, where you’ll get a quick rundown and difficulty of what you’re getting into:

“Dark Blood”
Mysterious demons are preying on those who venture in the dark alleys of the city, exterminate the demon infestation!
Difficulty: Demon Slayer
Money: $1300

Accept: Yes/No

If you accept the mission, you’ll be transported to the mission area where it’ll pretty much play out like any old DMC fare. Some missions will climax with a puzzle, some with a boss, some with both, and some with none. Some missions will be ‘extermination’ missions where you literally kill a bunch of demons in a few rooms; great for demon blood farming. Once you finish a mission you’re welcome to revisit the mission to get a better rating than that D you managed to get despite your best efforts, though you won’t get paid the same amount of money for re-doing a mission you already finished. Doing the same mission three or four times is all the milking you can do before it no longer pays you anything. Finishing missions with an S will land you bonus money, though. After finishing a mission and getting the requisite badass cutscene, you return to DMC to take a new mission or upgrade yourself.

Upgrade:
Upgrading in this DMC uses two things, demon blood and money. With the demon blood earned defeating demons in classic manner, you can buy yourself helpful items or some new moves. With money you can visit the truly underground Devil’s Market for new Devil Arms and Firearms. The relationship between demon blood and money being that money will land you new weapons while demon blood with get you new moves for said weapons. Devine Statues is where you’d cash in your demon blood, but the Devil’s Market is accessed via telephone at DMC.

Missions:
The mission structure as stated would be given in sets, and you would be able to do missions of the next chapter without finishing the previous one. But the bulk of the next chapter of missions would be closed off if you didn’t complete the last few missions of the previous set.

Bloody Palace 3:
The new Bloody Palace mode would look like some sort of underground demonic fight club where Dante takes on all contenders in front of a live crowd. Here you earn demon blood and money you can use in the main game. The higher you go in the Bloody Palace, the more money you get; along with getting more demon blood for being extra stylish in battle. You can unlock more levels by completing missions in the main game.

Well that’s it so far. I don’t see Nero or Virgil being apart of the game’s main narrative but I’d imagine they could be playable along with Trish and Lady (for the first time) as unlockables. In a sense the game would still be linear, but it’ll fit more along the lines of DMC lore with the office playing a bigger role in how you progress in the game.

Special Edition will only be available in digital form outside of Japan. Main reason is because the physical version in Japan is going to be very limited and Capcom didn't feel to do the same for everywhere else.
