Jeter I believe simply fell through the cracks and was never develop properly and I still think that WWE really dropped the ball on Kenny Dysktra but I think politicing from the bigger names (I'm looking a you Trips) were responsible for burying him too.

John Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler would be rather splendid. Especially if Morrison and Miz are IC and US champs, respectively.

Somehow I think this will be how it goes. The whole "vacate the title and have the #1 contender and another top star battle for it at the next ppv" scenerio.

If memory serves me right some guys haven't had to serve there suspension effective immediately so he could very well go another month before he has to start it ugh.

I'd say that since they say "effective" as of September 2, they were planning on him being suspended then. Which is timing for him to drop on The 1st, which would be the SD taping.

The only thing for me is Dolphs name if its a play on the guy from boogie nights it shows that Vince and his writers knowledge of pop culture stops just short of 1998 which explains why vince wont promote younger talent.

Rey has been at the top of his game as of late. Not sure where this anti-Mysterio business is coming from or why you would NOT THIS WAY want Ziggler to win the belt like this.

Dolph Ziggler is awesome, because as his new theme suggests, he is perfection. Also, I kinda wonder how this is going to affect the IC title situation, since Ziggler won a #1 Contender Match for the IC title shot on Superstars tonight, and if the suspension goes into effect next Wed., I hate to say it, but we may have a taping next week for SD! or Superstars that results in Ziggler taking the gold at that point.

The other idea they could pursue, if they're absolutely hell-bent on having an IC title match at Breaking Point, since it looks like Taker is going to be in the WHC scene come Sept. 13, make it a match between Ziggler and Morrison. Even if Morrison doesn't win the title right away, have him chase it for a bit, and have him win it sometime before the end of the year, or even early next year, and if he drops it before the Rumble, have him win the Rumble to get a WM WHC shot, either that or have him go into WM as IC champ and have him win MitB, and win the WHC later in the year, preferably several months removed from any hypothetical IC title run.

This is very true. I would also keep Matt Hardy and John Morrison in mind as potential winners of the IC Title on SmackDown!. With Hardy seemingly getting nudged aside for Taker, despite having a logical feud with CM Punk over the World Heavyweight Title waiting, I can see Hardy winning the IC Title as a sort of "we haven't forgotten about you" present. Especially since Michael Hayes loves Matt Hardy.

I'm with thedamndest and Juan on this. Rey Mysterio has been pretty fucking good lately, and his reigns with the IC Title have done a lot to raise the belt. It's no longer a mid-card title, but an upper mid-card title, which is fantastic when young guys like Ziggler eventually win the belt. And I'm actually glad that the WWE have made Ziggler work for his reign. They haven't just thrown the IC Title on him because he's a rising star. This was scheduled to be his third PPV match against Rey Mysterio, and it was going to be a good moment when he won the IC Title.

And Ziggler is fantastic, by the way. He's got one of the better and more thought-out characters in the WWE. The SmackDown! writing team is taking good care of him. I've seen potential ever since "Nicky," and I'm craving a feud between Ziggler and Undertaker over the IC Title. That would be epic.

I love the way he yells "COUNT IT!" after his elbow drop. I just wish his finishing move had a name. I was looking forward to seeing Ziggler slap Rey in the face to spin him into that move, too. In 30 days, I hope for more Ziggler/Mysterio matches.
