I'm kinda annoyed with the clothing system tho. They should have 3 costumes that can't be changed (except for the colour pallette) and like 5 costume slots for the custom looks. I'd really like this because to put together good attributes in campaign mode, you totally end up looking like you dressed in the dark.

I couldn't agree more. While trying to unlock all the endings for every character, I had to play as Anna Williams, a character I never use and her combos were just insane. I didn't get hit once by Azazel and I was just dumbfounded by how simple she made it seem. Ditto for Bruce Irvin.

There's nothing wrong with playing with a stable of characters. While I do acknowledge skill in someone who uses everybody, I wouldn't call someone who uses one character a "spamfag". And lol how does Eddy Gordo come to mind? Eddy/Christie's legit.

I'm mainly talking about people who get you in a corner and use the same move nonstop. That's my definition of a spamfag Kalyx. As for Eddy, he and Christie are just the easiest characters to use. >.<

I see. Still, Tekken's a very hard game to spam one move. A certain string or juggle maybe, but not one move. Way too many defensive options on wake-up for someone to lock you down in a corner with one move.

Ladies and gentle who keep claiming Eddy/Christie are just user friendly, prove it. Use them online to great success. Just mash buttons away. Then come back with your stories of streaking the competition.

I prefer Hworang and Xiaoyu myself, but what can you do? That's why I always hit random online. Makes the game more fun.

Fun doing what, exactly? Honest question.

I mean, fighting games just aren't built with that in mind engine and presentation wise. These characters are really deep and require some form of intimate practice. It's hardly Mortal Kombat.

Never. Hell, I'm not an expert at Tekken at all.

But what constitutes 'playing the game' to you in regards to Tekken? Merely pressing buttons and watching things happen on screen? Do you take the outcome of a match into consideration or is it "whatever" to you?

I've come across this approach to gaming before and I just wanna be sure you're the same type before I go on.

I don't even start playing versus til I beat the game with everyone, so I at least have an idea as to how a character plays, and what their moves are when I do play someone. I'm never merely pressing buttons.

Obviously getting better at each individual charactertakes longer this way, but I don't care. It's boring to me, to pick from only a handful of characters when there are so many available.

Each character is a different way to enjoy the game. And I don't feel like restricting that enjoyment to only some characters.

Okay now I see where you're getting at. Interesting, I find it exciting to try to best my opponent, even if we're playing the same characters for 5 or 6 straight matches. The idea of one-upping your rival can never be boring to me. I find variety in the methods used, not the characters.

No seriously, can someone explain to me why Jin is evil now? Like, he's been the shining light of the mishima bloodline for the previous 3 games.

What did he just say, "ah fuck it, I"ll just be evil like my dad and garndfather ."

I know story isn't as important in fighting games, but you have to at least make an attempt. I like how half the character's purposes for entering the tournament are to "compete in more battles." Brilliant.

Jin causes everything for the purpose of bringing out Azazel. He knows he can defeat Azazel because of the Devil Gene. He also knows that, if he fights Azazel, it'll probably kill him as well. He's basically trying to kill himself in an attempt to END the Mishima Bloodline. That's basically what comes from Scenario Mode.

Also, there's a chance that he DOESN'T die or gets Reanimated ala Kazuya.

And it seems like Leo and Miguel have the same storyline, where they have someone they love (Mother and Sister respectively) killed by the actions one of the main 'villains' (Kazuya and Jin, respectively).

Again, what pisses me off is some of the demotions as it were. Lee loses his role as principal rival to Kazuya because of Lars. He loses his role as stereotypical gay character to Leo. Without their rivalry, Yoshi and Bryan seem to wander about aimlessly. Steve could be a wild card in the Anna/Nina feud, seeing as how he's Nina's son. Instead, he's a comedy character now with Paul and Law.

If you haven't gotten Wang's ending, I recommend getting his next. Then Ganryu's, solely because it's funny as shit.
