Chicago-Philadelphia should be a good series. One team is very physical and playing unstoppable hockey (0-3 comeback and then demolished Canadians) while the other team is looking to avenge last season's missed Cup chance and playing unstoppable hockey (embarrassed Luongo and thrashed the Sharks).

Hate to be Hossa if Flyers win since that would have to end up as some NHL Stanley Cup record.

Depends since if its just a player on a team then it has occurred before in the NFL with the Bills in the 1990s but probably an all-time record for 3 years in the title game with 3 different teams assuming if Chicago were to lose.

But seriously, fucking awesome. I remember back in '97 when the Wings kicked our asses. I was so depressed because our team was LOADED (Desjardin (sp), Lindros, LeClair, Recchi), but fucking Detroit. LeClair was my favorite, still have his jersey

Lindross was a beast too, speed, strength, accuracy..but the fucker could stay off of the injury list

According to numerous reports, Steve Yzerman will be named the new general manager of the Tampa Bay Lightning at a 3 p.m. ET news conference Tuesday.

CBC's Elliotte Friedman and Rogers Sportsnet's Nick Kyperos both reported the Hall of Fame center and current Red Wings executive will be taking the job.

"This did not take us by surprise because for years Stevie has said one day he would like to be a general manager in the NHL," Red Wings Senior Vice President Jim Devellano told the Detroit News. "It was something he wanted to do, but it had to be the right opportunity for him and his family.

"It was a tough decision for Steve, that's why it took such a long time," Devellano said. "It's not easy leaving Detroit for somebody like Steve. He's been with us for 27 years. He came as an 18-year-old and just recently celebrated his 45th birthday. So it was not an easy decision for him to make.

"We are all happy for Steve," Devellano said. "This is something he wanted, a challenge that he desired and worked hard for. At the same time, we are going to miss him. He's been such a major part of all of our lives, both on the ice and in the front office."

Toronto, Pittsburgh and Dallas are the only teams I genuinely don't like. Toronto because it shows that your management can be a bunch of downs syndrome retards and the arena will still be sold out to blindly faithful fans who try to make crazy deals (Rask, Kessel, Phaneuf) out to be in their favor.

Pittsburgh moreso because all the bandwagoners where I live and Crosbymania when they won the cup made me want to shoot people here.
