Although he may not play your characters, get a whiff of this series. He's pretty much one of the few high level players who doesn't come off as an asshole. He has some Blops vids too if that's any interest to some of you.

Had a quick session with my bro. He's taking Shuma seriously now, using his annoying laser assist.

Further experimentation with Dante's Reverb Shock xx Fireworks lock down is proving successful - Fireworks can hit you from full screen! It's a fuckin shotgun ffs!

Jill Is definitely staying in my roster. Maybe make a third team based on her. She's a sexy beast.

Anyone that read the post here (In the VG News thread, I think) or elsewhere about Capcom saying there was no plans for more MvC3 DLC should know that it was a misunderstanding.
They meant there would be no DLC for SSFIV after AE. They still have plenty for MvC3.

Also, two more events were unlocked a couple days ago. One for winning Arcade with a Capcom based team and another for winning 10 online matches as a Capcom team.

Kudos to THQ for providing quality DLC, at a great price! I was worried that all DLC Superstars/Legends would be rush jobs with recycled move sets. I'm very happy with All Stars and must confess that, to me, this game blows Marvel 3 away!

If Capcom had listened to the producer of Marvel vs Capcom 3, there would have been more Darkstalkers and Mega Man characters as part of the main roster and not as DLC in case customers had complained.

Good to know X23 is back as a serious point character for me. I picked up a neat and damaging OTG assist set-up that adds to her danger element, and I use her dive kick more akin to how I did Cammy's.

Dante will also do more time on point, rather than be a clutch team member. Doing great things with him. I've really sharpened my 'Shottie Trap', can't wait to see a tourny player do it and then it becomes the next big thing. /Sarcasm

All of a fucking sudden Wesker's the guy to have on your team. Ugh, posers. It's all good, though.

Well I haven't been online in a bit, and last I was on regularly I rarely saw Weskers. I play on my bro's profile for a bit and every other team has Wesker, holding him for XF3 clutch wins. To me, it's rather sudden.

I used to love that game, I even managed to beat it in the arcade with Juggernaut. I got so close to beating it with Cap and Iron Man, but I had seen some dude beat Thanos with Juggernaut so I just gave up on beating it with the others and beat it with him.

I don't think I've ever actually beaten arcade mode in the arcade. I remember a guy playing through Killer Instinct and I joined him for a match and he got pissed. I thought that was weird. Keep in mind the damn thing was out on SNES at the time. Fuckin nazi.

It was wierd though, since I never was very good at most games in the arcade including the Xmen fighting game that came out the year before, I just rolled right through the game up till Thanos. It took me a few bucks worth of quarters but I finally got him.

I played through Tekken 4, Marvel Vs Capcom, and Marvel Vs Capcom 2 in the arcade.

Always thought Onslaught was the coolest fighting game boss.

When someone rage quits online, does it count as a loss to them? Fought some guy tonight in ranked that had an unbeaten record of 12-0. He spammed moves etc. I took out his Pheonix when she came in to assist his Storm, who I also took out soon after. Got his Hsien-Ko down to a square of health and he quit.

Random story:
SPOILER: show
Fought a guy a few weeks ago who spammed Deadpools pistols. I tried to fight back but he just kept pushing me back with the spamming and won.
I came across him again later that day and he spams again but, this time, I spam back with Taskmasters "Aim of Hawkeye" move. I KO Deadpool and couldn't resist taunting which got the appropriate "Don't ya know any other moves?" quote.
I stopped spamming and his next guy, Spencer, comes in. The guy seemed genuinely lost. All he did was swing around and the occasional move. His final guy, I can't remember who, was pretty easy too. I had to taunt again and got Taskmasters laugh. I can't help taunting someone I beat if I feel they were playing "cheaply".
The guy had a pretty high rank so I can only assume he got there purely through spamming because he didn't have a clue what to do once DP was gone.

So many high ranking players seem to be like that. They either spam a projectile or they have a single, ridiculously long combo they've got down which they do until you are KO'd.

Yeah MvC3 encourages a spam fest when moves are safer than most games (covers a lot of space, quick recoveries, lots of open space between players). The community spins this into 'playing legit keepaway', but imo there's a fine line between holding dudes back and sleeping on a move.

At least guys like that are shut down once you eliminate "that one character". The community calls that 'getting exposed,' and me and my bro share his gamertag pretty much exposing fuckers for fun. Somebody would win 1 or 2 player matches, we'd identify the problem, then we'd punk them for the next 5 matches - or whenever they Exit.

MvC3 still rewards the smarter player, and there's nothing like taking out that one character and watching as the other guy flail around. MvC3's more a team game than MvC2, perhaps they should prepare for more outcomes than 'spam with point character' and 'XF3 with last character'.

Mvc3 feels a lot different to me now, after not playing for a while.

Never realized how good playing high level competition made me. Did some offline battles today against some people that battle regularly against each other (fight stick and all) and basically demolished every single one of them.
