I shouldn't have to press you to create a rational thought. I knew you'd come around though. I appreciate your input as long as it's not a cheap shot, HHH cock sucking input like you've done earlier. I get it-- HHH is the best thing in wrestling... EVER ![]() As far as the creative team being given "a way to change the world title picture", I will say again-- If it takes money in the bank to swerve us in wrestling we need to think totally non-stop about the direction in WWE wrestling. You say "a way", I say "a bail out" for the creative team to serve up horse shit. Not any worse than Russo's horse shit but horse shit none the less. Something about a title changing hands after a one fall match seems wrong to me. Maybe I am just old school. But you guys have been watching way longer than me |

Money in the Bank IN NO WAY "damages" the credibility of the Champion.
Short title reigns DO damage the credibility of the Champion. |

I think the mitb match makes the morbid poverty special and gives them.a good long lasting story that always has you guessing. Its just a prop for storytelling. Some mitb runs are executed excellently, others not as much. I don't think its the concept that's flawed though.

It's a neat concept that the WWE has beaten to death just like everything else.

CM Punk might have never gotten over without it. So, it's automatically the best thing ever.

MITB is one of the best things that can happen. It has been a reason to get new blood and fresh faces in the title scene. Hell, it can even get old blood back in the title scene. Look at Edge and CM Punk who were MITB winners. Look at RVD, who should have been in the title scene on his own awesomeness. He got in there because of MITB. Kane got a nice push because of MITB. And hey, who can forgot The Miz teasing his cashing in MITB. And Jack Swagger... Well ya can't win 'em all, point goes to Team You. Does it have to be a 34728945 man ladder match? No. Does it make the match better? Not all the time. But still, the match itself serves as a great symbol of the winner climbing the ladder to the main event. So just enjoy it, and remember when you think you've been around the block, you'll find someone who has been around the city. |

To be honest, I kinda smirked when I read "Hey guys, long time follower of wrestling".
Then, "I've been a fan since I was a kid in 1996" . |

I've been watching American wrestling since 1994, and I would never call myself a "longtime follower", especially since I missed so much in the 80's.

Except for Owen/Bret I don't see much to have gotten hooked into in 1994. 17 years is a long time watching wrestling. It might not be as long as others have been watching (around WM4 for me), but it's still a longtime. Though I call bullshit on 1996 because it means he only started watching wrestling because of the New World Order. Fuck that shit.
Like I said before there is nothing stopping you watching the 80s stuff on the internet or wherever. It's not like just because you missed it the first time that you can't go back. It's alot better than the stuff on today at any rate. It's going to be great going back to watch it all over again if the WWE Network gets on my cable box. |

I haven't posted much on this site but however I have been watching wresltling for a long time ,probably longer than anyone else here..lol. As for MITB i agree with some others .It was good for edge cause that his thing, being opportunistic, but i agree where it really kinda doesn't make the guy who cashes it in credible.take Daniel bryan for instance,I mean i like the guy and i think he is a great wrestler, kind of reminds me of Bob Backlund in that plain just wrestles no gimmicks type, but i would have rather seen him beat show straight up then doing it that way.the WWE (and TNA for that manner) should go back to having longer reigns .Look at it this way,the best way to really be credible is knocking off the champ who had the belt for like 6 months to a year then knocking off a guy who won it by beating someone when then just finshed defending the belt after 20 minutes or so.If they let the guy keep the belt for a long time, i bet they'll get more better ratings .Well that's my opinion anyway ,thanks.

It serves the same purpose as King of the Ring did, but is more of a spectacle.

1994 was a fairly good year for Wrestling.
The Royal Rumble ended on a tie, with Bret Hart and Lex Luger going on to WrestleMania. The Razor/HBK Ladder Match. Owen Hart won the King of the Ring, thereby becoming "The King of Harts". HBK superkicked Diesel a couple of times, eventually leading to Diesel becoming turning face and winning the WWF Championship in about 8 seconds. And a lot more stuff. It was a good year to become a fan. |

The eight second match happened at a house show, to be fair.
Also, if you call Bret/Owen at Wrestlemania X "shit", I'm going to have to ask for you to be banned forever. |
