Good levels, like you said a bit on the easy side difficulty-wise but they definitely have a good feel to them

If/when Nintendo allows you to upload "sets" of levels as a world, all of yours would be good together for a world, then you can make harder ones etc...

have a pretty good knack for level design

Forget if it was posted here or on Reddit or wherever I read it, but the Castlevania creator, Koji Igarashi has made some levels on SMM that are really well done.

Cheers for Czeching them out and for the feedback. Yeah, I need to try and make a harder one, but I find that a lot harder without falling into Meat Boy style levels. It's also a bugger you can't add checkpoints so if the end is hard, a bunch of people are going to quit.

Got my 50th star overnight at least so I can upload more now.

I don't think so any more than the usual unlocking of a costume for the mushroom. Have yet to do an expert 100 mario thing yet though so can't verify...

So I found this

Ready to go old-school? The CRT cathode ray effect can be added to any level, regardless of whether you own the 30th Anniversary Mario amiibo or are in an original Super Mario level. When a level is loading and you see Mario under the title, hold down, A, and B at the same time. It will switch the effect on and off.

Want to feel like a champion? Play 10 Mario Challenge seven times. You’ll unlock the four Nintendo World Championships 2015 levels specifically made for the event. You’ll get to see if they really were as challenging as they looked back in June.

The Year of Luigi may be over, but there’s still a hint of him in Super Mario Maker. While a Luigi Mushroom can randomly come up in a level in place of a Super Mushroom, you can reliably make one appear every time by beating all four of the Nintendo World Championship levels. Shake a Super Mushroom in the level editor and it will transform into a Luigi Mushroom. In this form, Mario can jump a little higher than normal, but will skid a little more than usual on landings.

It's not a Luigi mushroom, just that one that makes you tall and skinny, but good to know you can get it non randomly.

Newest patch for the game removed the invincibility glitch that will make a bunch of levels unplayable now.

Could be a sign of possible future DLC stuff or nothing more than just temporary placeholders left during its development but hackers recently discovered a bunch of stuff hidden within the game.

Still up in the air about getting this game. I don't really care about making any levels. I just want to play more Mario but ehhhhhhhh. Seems like it is not worth getting the game for player made levels.

Ya, going to pick this up. Seems like a good game to have for random playing one day a week or so (Basically, when I watch crappy football games).

I think just the default. Some of the top-rated levels right now are basically renditions of songs made using the Music Block item where you run through the level as they make a song play by hitting the notes.

Kinda makes you wonder why they didn't make an exclusive music component in the game like Mario Paint



Like with custon sound effects though you might be able to import music into your level I think? But you'd only be able to hear it locally, not when uploaded. I think.
