Kane deserves all the credibility he can get at this stage of his career, a win over Taker at WrestleMania (Taker still looks good, because he won their first two Mania matches), and a Rumble win (albeit with no title shot payoff) would push Kane into that Hall of Famer status he's never truly been able to achieve with the WWE only giving him one day with a World Title. |

It probably would never happen, but Carlito or even C.M. Punk would be ideal to end the streak, but not this year.
Masters with a roll-up on Carlito, pulls the tights and Chris Masters has pinned that jobber Carlito. |

Masters puts the Masterlock on Carlito, and J.R. claims it is still "officially" unbroken.

Anyone else noticed that Masters has suspiciously piled back on all that muscle he shed after his suspension last year?

1. Intercontinental champion Jeff Hardy defeated Johnny Nitro by door escape in a Cage match.
2. Cryme Tyme outlasted Cade/Murdoch, Duggan/Super Crazy, The World's Greatest Tag Team and The Highlanders in a Tag Team Turmoil match for a World Tag Team championship title match. 3. Kenny Dykstra pinned Ric Flair after a low blow. 4. WWE Women's Champion Mickie James defeated Victoria by pinfall. 5. WWE World Tag Team Champions Rated RKO went to a no-contest with DX 6. Chris Masters pinned Carlito Ladies and gentlemen, it is now time for your MAAAAAAAAAAIN event. Notice how no titles have changed hands tonight so far? An ominous sign that maybe Umaga is taking the gold tonight? |

They should bring in Eddie Colon to feud with Carlito as soon as possible. Have Eddie upset that Carlito doesn't use the Colon surname, or something. Right now, anything to take out minds off the fact that the best thing going for Carlito is Torrie Wilson. Whatever happened to that guy's push?

Wrestling Observer is reporting that the injury is indeed legit.
'Bye Trips. ![]() EDIT: WWE.com has confirmed it as well. Last edited by The Fugitive; 01-07-2007 at 10:19 PM. |

I think Carlito's would require a heel turn, though. Have Carlito just challenge The Undertaker after eliminating him from the Royal Rumble, and just occasionally say "Carlito ending The Undertaker's WrestleMania winning streak? That's cool". |

I hope Umaga wins. Have him throw a fit and destroy the title (I took that off someone here, but I can't remember who). Bring back a respectable version of the belt, and you know, I might begin to really like Umaga.

Or maybe a sneaky heel Carlito campaigns for the chance to end Undertaker's streak at Mania for several months, costing Undertaker the Royal Rumble when he is dominating the ring, and eventually outsmarting the Taker to win at WM24? |

Try as WWE will, this match simply doesn't scream out "Main Event Calibre" to me. Umaga is still a Raw mid-carder to me, streak or no streak.

Hmm, I'm predicting that not only will we see Cryme Tyme win the World Tag Team Championship soon, but we will also see Jeff Hardy lose his Intercontinental Championship. My original thoughts were that Kenny Dykstra would be his successor, but now part of me thinks Chris Masters.
So yeah, where is everyone placing their bets: Dykstra or Masters (feel free to throw another name into the pot)? |

Triple H missing WrestleMania is simply speculation. We don't know how serious his injury is. It may be a simple sprain.

Ok tell me this, why CM or Carlito, look at all the people he has faced and beaten, it has to actually make sense, and make the person look on the level of Taker, and very few people who have fought him, I considered to end the streak (Kane, Trips, Orton) So please tell me why it should be carlito or Punk, not saying I wouldn't like to see them do this, but after all the others, it would not make sense IMO.

Maybe do this on RAW tomorrow night, because I do not want to see Cena as WWE Champion. There's no way he loses it, in my opinion, though. He just had his "star-making" affair with Kevin Federline. |

I actually thought that Orton was going to do it, back then he was an up and commer, and his persona made sense as to end it then, but oh well, whoever it is will likely be forgotten in a few years.

I actually wouldn't mind if it were Kenny Dykstra who ended The Undertaker's streak. The guy is a seven-year veteran, is only like 20 years old, plus he has personality and can work. In ten years, providing all goes well, the guy may not even have reached the prime of his career yet.
Have Ric Flair back him, pass on the title of "Nature Boy" to him, and have him try and add The Undertaker's streak as a notch on his belt. If Dykstra accomplished this, as well as nailing Mickie James nightly, he deserves to be Time's Man of the Year. |

Cena is in control here and is looking for the 5 Knuckle Shuffle, and nails it.
Umaga getting to his feet, but Cena can't FU Umaga (for the second time in this match), and falls victim to a belly-to-belly. Hold up.... Cena can FU Big Show and Viscera, but not Umaga??? Umaga hangs Cena in the tree of woe, and nails his flying headbutt. Cena sits in the corner, primed for that ass-first charge of Umaga's, but Cena nails Umaga with a boot to the face, and takes the millionth roll-up pinfall of the night to end Umaga's undefeated streak and keep the gold. |

2. Cryme Tyme outlasted Cade/Murdoch, Duggan/Super Crazy, The World's Greatest Tag Team and The Highlanders in a Tag Team Turmoil match for a World Tag Team championship title match. 3. Kenny Dykstra pinned Ric Flair after a low blow with a roll-up. 4. WWE Women's Champion Mickie James defeated Victoria by pinfall. 5. WWE World Tag Team Champions Rated RKO went to a no-contest with DX 6. Chris Masters pinned Carlito with a roll-up. 7. WWE Champion John Cena pinned Umaga with a roll-up. That's not to mention one or maybe two falls in the Turmoil match ended with a roll-up too. |

Well, there you go folks, this has been New Year's Revolution Play-By-Play, with your charming host NeanderCarl.
To me, this was an enjoyable enough PPV from an in-ring standpoint, but with little to no storyline advances, character developments or standout performances. Nobody jumped off the screen as the "next big thing", nothing on the show made me feel excited about watching Raw tomorrow night, no featured feud or storyline made my mouth water for the Royal Rumble or, even further down the line, WrestleMania and there was nothing on this PPV that I would ever want to watch a second time. It was ten times better than some of the crap they've been churning out recently, but it still left a lot to be desired. Not the best of starts to 2007. |
