Story arcade is in scenario campaign. Once you complete a couple stages, the arena is unlocked, which is story arcade mode. Trick is, you can only play as characters you beat in scenario mode.

Fyi, endings are also unlocked on a time release just through playtime. Don't even have to deal with that stupid demon chicken to see them.

Working on Devil Jin theories in my head. I think I've been too 'soft' with him, let people breathe too much. Had some matches with my (very dangerous) brother and got some wins with a more aggressive DJ. Gonna see where that goes.

Looking back at my losses when I last played online, I'm infuriated by the lag. It's those matches you just KNOW you'd win if you had better response. Currently unimpressed with the comp overall.

Anyway, the patch really smoothed things out a bit and gameplay online is much better. Also, JUGGLES RULE. Fuck you, .44, if you're still reading. It's still a lame system you need to win.

Nah, V's got a bit of a point. It doesn't wow me as much as Tekken 3 or Tekken 5 did when they first dropped. Plus little or no North American arcade release meant that I didn't get to do the usual whet my appetite for console release/talk about Tekken endlessly. Seemed like there was no hype for this. I dunno.

I really do like it, but between Tekken 5 and Dark Resurrection, it's like this is an ok 3rd best in the series.

Well, tagging in fighting games was new then. Not just that, but it had slightly better graphics than Tekken 3 and it was like "whoa, this will actually play on the PS2? AWESOEM!!!!"

My biggest issues with the game barely have anything to do with the game.

1) The XB controller just isn't for fighting games. Playing Tekken with the controller stick is annoying and the pad is an embarrassment in Yank design. Surely we could do better. I legit came close to tears trying to play Blazblue with that fucking pad. The kind of tears that well up when you play a cheap-ass boss in a single player game? You know what I'm talking about. Arcade sticks never worked for me. The only game I'd happily use an arcade stick with is Soulcalibur. Pfft, I can play Soulcalibur on a fuckin DSi if I could.

And now I wanna play Soulcalibur 4.

Yeah I was skeptical at first but they're extremely accurate, even more so than pads. They're far more superior. It just takes getting use to it.

Dude shadow steps are really easy on sticks. Smooth like butter. I just have an issue with speed and timing since I'm so use to the pad.

Had a single player Tekken marathon yesterday. Here's some thoughts:

- Campaign isn't nearly as bad as what everyone says. I made 9mil$ in 3 hours playtime to play barbie with my fighters. I can confirm that is no 2plyr mode. I guess the duel lifebars was an unintended swerve. They also could have avoided a lot of pain by having a crouch button instead of mimicking 2Dish fighting in 3D space (ironic really). That way you wouldn't have to wait for the camera to see which side of the 'screen' you were on. Certain moves would still be out of touch but the gameplay would be smoother.
- My DJ, Lei, and Christie are improved. I make transitions faster with Lei and Christie especially, and DJ will play closer to his beastly status in Tekken 5. He seems to work well with the pad (he needs shadow step).
- Kinda feel bad for playing a game for 4 hours knowing I won't be able to transfer saves.

Well, I hate the Virtua Fighter series for the most part (floaty jumping, crazy input system, so much wasted potential...), especially 4. I actually have VF5 (gotta love them bargain bins), but have yet to actually play it due to having 3245872585 more awesome games.

Street Fighter is a different animal. I love both, but they are not the same to me at all. In terms of quality, SF 4 is a 9/10 and Tekken 6 is an 8/10.
