I dug the segment. Even the "Cane Dewey" moment (dunno if it was improv, or a plant on that spot for him to mention, but I don't care, it was still great). My ONLY problem with the segment is a criticisim I have of Owens to begin with... he needs to be a little bigger heel. Hot start, though. And as was stated, this is the beginning of a feud. Hell, Owens is essentially being positioned to be made by Cena, much like Undertaker has done with so many up-and-comers. This serves not only to get Kevin over, but also make him better.

Well, there certainly isn't any chance if Cena never decides to give him a shot at it. I'm very slightly hopeful that their next match could have it on the line, but it may not be, and who knows if they'll have a 3rd match down the line?

I guess I'm just hoping I'll finally be proven wrong in my thinking that Cena will just win the next match or 2 against Owens and win yet another feud...but with all the stuff that's gone down re: Cena in the past 10 years, I've just grown increasingly more disillusioned with him every year, if nkt every month or even every week. It's just the same thing, new shirt with different color scheme, maybe a belt here or there...it's just his whole "conquering hero" schtick seems so stale right now, and I think he could really, truly benefit from some time off. I know that's not his M.O., but still.

New Day's insinuating that if "one of us is Mr. MITB, we all are" is intriguing. Insofar as, one of them NEEDS to win, then they either turn on the winner out of resentment, OR they initially call themselves co-holders, UNTIL someone tries to cash in, and they all keep essentially cock blocking eachother.

Or, they could eventually do the 4 Horsemen thing and unselfishly help their partners to hold all the gold.

I guess I'm just hoping I'll finally be proven wrong that Cena will just win the next match or 2 against Owrns and win yet another feud...but with all the stuff that's gone down re: Cena in the past 10 years, I've just grown increasingly more disillusioned with him every year, if nkt every month or even every week. It's just the same thing, new shirt with different color scheme, maybe a belt here or there...it's just his whole "conquering hero" schtick seems so stale right now, and I think he could really, truly benefit from some time off. I know that's not his M.O., but still.
Kevin Owens started the feud off by basically saying that he didn't care about the US Title because it was below the NXT Title. It's not a matter of John Cena not giving him a shot.

I understand being disillusioned and suspicious about Cena. I really do. I've been there a lot myself, but last night--and the whole feud with Owens--has been completely different than the usual pattern. There are not many men who have beat John Cena clean--and while that may be an indictment in and of itself, you shouldn't let that cancel out something that is 100% different and great.

The last few people that beat John Cena clean? The Rock in like 2012. Daniel Bryan at Summerslam in 2013. Brock Lesnar in 2014. Those guys did pretty okay. They don't hand out clean wins over Cena without having a plan for the guy. He's not going to get Ruseved, who won under very ignomious circumstances. They're doing pretty much what everyone's always wanted, and it's just really frustrating to see that get ignored because "lol cena."

The New Day have become so fucking entertaining together. I actually like that Kofi has been put into Money in the Bank. It feels left-field, but good on him. I'm sure Xavier Woods and Big E will get to work some spots in that match too. It'll have some memorable drama.

I'm digging The Prime Time Players too. They're no Cesaro and Kidd, but their story of how hungry they are suits them. They've been together for ages and have never won the titles. It feels like it'd be a good moment if they win. I can actually see them beating New Day at Money in the Bank.

I'm also starting to feel a Divas Title change tonight. I don't know why, but it just feels right for Nikki to lose out here. I don't know if they go with random heel Paige again, or if they have another story coming out of this, but I see Paige winning to give the Divas Division a new dimension.

The best choice would be Dean Ambrose. Reigns and Ambrose are too buddy-buddy right now, and it's a threat to The Authority. As clear-cut allies, they don't mind beating the shit out of each other, but I can see them forging some real tension between them whilst they are both hovering around the title.

Random awesome thought I just had. Re-create the Nexus for one night. Have the NXT Divas ban together and take both of them out leading to NXT/WWE Divas feud. That would make the next few months EXTREMELY interesting for the Divas and when was the last time you thought that.

Would actually mark out for a heel Chris Jericho return to go after the eye of Roman later on. Jericho hasn't been an active heel for so long that there feels like a whole bunch of fresh matches he could have that could steal the show.

I know it's not happening, but you want to forge Roman Reigns into a top guy? Have him feud with Jericho.
