If anyone wonders why I only did the moves I did, the same guy spammed Hondas buttcrush move the fight before so I was trying to do similair to him.

Edit: They put the spamming into a montage.


They guy also didn't seem to show me doing anything but the lariat. They also didn't show when I managed to do Siberian Blizzard to stop the buttcrushing from below him.

Edit: How about TPWW vs Dpad Dependancy? Kalyx suggested we take on other people. They obviously already have a roster togethor. I can throw the challenge out for us, if you like. I think we'd be able to take them down pretty swiftly. If they don't interest you, my bro-in-law visits a competitive forum. I could ask him if they have interest in taking us on.

If it's anything to do with SSFIV, it better be a DLC like a SSFIV Turbo DLC with R.Mika, Elena, Rolento, Hugo & Q.
He said Super was the final version of SFIV.

I remember a news story from about a week ago where Ono had said via Twitter that he just had a meeting and Capcom gave him the green light for a game or something.
A while ago, he also said he wanted to do Darkstalkers with the SFIV engine. All that with the above comment makes me think it will be Darkstalkers if it's not a Turbo DLC for SSFIV.

The greenlit was definitely Darkstalkers, but to announce it so soon. Even a prerendered target trailer isn't that fast out the gate.

Yeah, had two big sessions with Khuntry and Funky separately.

Khuntry took most the wins in even bouts. I did have a 'breakthrough' of sorts with Sakura that should be useful. I picked Guile and that shit was gdlk.

Funky's on point and has a strong T. Hawk, I imagine he'll be useful to him going on. He completely stuffed my Sakura with Blanka of all people. It was very unsettling and shows how not used to Blanka I am.

Overall good night, now back to school.

links are gay. I can understand if the window of time you got to do them was a little bigger, but exclusionary gameplay is not fun if you're not the type to practice your combos for hours on end.

I find it odd that links appear in SF4, a game that makes several strides toward lenient gameplay. It's like they needed some arbitrarily difficult mechanic to appease the tournyfags out of fear the game would get boring during high level play.

I read a lot of Sirlin's articles and while he can be crass, he makes some good points about the contradictory design of SF4. HUGE reversal window and absurd input leniency paired with 1frame links and a complicated roman cancel mechanic? Kinda odd, really.

Fighting game design as been dominating my brain and I actually choose to update ____________ rather than do homework this morning. In truth I'm starting to stress simply trying to score identity, when major game franchises have not!

But yeah, fuck links (and plinking).

It adds up, though. The image and people have said they want DLC for SSFIV for R.Mika, Rolento, Birdie, Karin and Sodom so, to get more money out of that demand, they'll do Alpha 4.

Why charge $10-15 for highly demanded characters when you can put them in a whole other game and charge $60?

Probably going to be Alpha 4.

Storyline wise, yeah. Another game that takes place between 1 and 2? I wouldn't normally bring up the story, but Alpha 3 was very story driven and was the only SF I would say was awesome story-wise.

Now, as a game and mechanic wise, it's very necessary. If they can somehow combine the depth of different super-systems, air-blocking and all that gravy with the accessibility of SF4, I will be a happy man.

Although I'd prefer the SF3 mechanics.
