Excuse me? You, the king of the pointless fantasy booking essay, has decided to climb upon some variety of high horse and are now talking to somebody else about 'useless semantics'? Get the fuck out of here. It's either a shit wrestling angle or a really shit piece of 'business' that people have been discussing for the most part (surprising on a discussion forum) "Unify"? "Divide"? "What they want"? Are you fucking serious?

One of the things that pisses me off about this, almost more than anything is Jeff's disrespect to Sting. Sting who is trying to salvage the company as the lead because Jeff can't due to legal fuck ups. Jeff shit's on Sting like that? One of the biggest legends ever? Total bullshit, no doubt Sting wishes he would have signed on for Wrestlemania. Total disgrace.

Lol.

Also Val Venis apparently echoed most other wrestlers main complaint (according to dirt sheets) by saying he popped up too quick from Stings finisher... WTF.

Matt Hardy has said Jeff is fine, but was too busy bragging his match with AJ stole the show.

Shane Helms got involved in a bar fight last night too. Great weekend for these guys.

There's also allegedly meetings ongoing to decide what to do with Jeff... Seriously, they need fucking meetings to decide that?

They're probably going to offer him rehab instead of firing him.

I honestly would not be surprised if that's the case, he turns it down, and they release him.

If TNA doesn't release him, though, under any circumstances (again, assuming he was legit fucked up), they are worse off than I could have ever imagined.

I believe Sting wants to help the younger talent very much, like he tried to do in WCW. I believe it's guys like Hogan, Flair, Bischoff, Russo, and Dixie Carter that's messing things up in TNA.
The loyalty to WCW is obvious, but what is there to be loyal to TNA for? I mean I guess it very unselfish of him to not care about no longer being memorable past 1999, but can he really just continue to take personal embarassment in TNA time and time again? Seriously, TNA does not deserve his loyalty.

By the way, didn't Vince officially own WCW before the last Monday Nitro taping? If so, Sting has definitely worked for Vince.

This is technically correct. I think it was official on the Friday before. Nitro was crawling with WWF road agents and producers that night.

There was a formal agreement, but nothing signed yet I believe.

But it was a WWE booked show, so a semantic argument could be made.

I think it was clear they knew something was wrong when he went out. There was a bit of a longer pause for him to come out. While that may be normal for him sometimes, this match didn't call for it.

But you may be right, because Hebner does throw up the "X".

Impact spoilers for Thursday. Opening segment, from PWInsider:

SPOILER: show
Impact opened with TNA champion Sting in the ring holding the old TNA title and Jeff Hardy version. Sting said that before Hulk Hogan tries to overtake the show, he wants them to get out here and face him. Hogan and Eric Bischoff come out. Sting tosses them the Hardy belt and says this is theirs and they can take the garbage. Sting says that Hogan took one of the brightest stars in wrestling, Jeff Hardy, and ruined him with his influence. They acted like Hardy was done as Sting said he can't do anything to help Jeff anymore but he can help TNA. Hogan said that Sting tries to blame everyone else but he's the guy who disappears and shows up when he wants. Hogan said that the only person at fault is Hardy, who couldn't run with Immortal and stand in the shadow of the Hulkster.

Don't know what to say to that. Set up for a face turn? Writing Hardy off?

Pretty badass honestly, I like how TNA cleaned this up.

Writing Hardy off, but in a good way.

I thought someone said Eric Young had the old title?

If this isn't a work, they can fuck off with this. If he was legit fucked up, someone in the company should have come out and apologised on his behalf and never referenced him again.

What a fucking joke of a company, like worse than I thought possible.

He did, he actually had it as of Double J's wedding ceremony, so about 2 weeks ago he had it, I had assumed Russo was going to turn it into the Hardcore belt, i.e. WWE angle with the Winged Eagle.

I think Sting could be the savior of TNA eventually... however I feel like this is going to end up Sting vs Hogan and BFG, which would not be the best choice. I think they should have Sting hold the title until BFG and lose it to the next "top guy", Anderson or Morgan or whoever.

Thumbs down

While they can't get worse than that opener, bless TNA for trying to be even worse

SPOILER: show
*They do a segment where The Pope makes a blind man see, then makes a handicapped man get out of a wheelchair and walk. Pope then says he can't do anything to help heavy woman, taking shots at Samoa Joe and his family. Joe comes out and Pope retreats but beats up Okada in the process. Joe finally runs off Pope. The fans chanted "That was stupid."

What? Sting is about to be 52 years old in 6 days, the only thing he'll be saving is his pay checks. Kurt Angle so far has been the only LEGIT chance of any kind of "savior" and their slowly destroying that street.

Sigh.. Here I was *almost* impressed by that opening segment, however unethical it was, and they follow it up with that. Sigh...

To be fair, I believe both Sting and Kurt Angle are going to be the true saviors of TNA. They put younger talent over, over the years, and had given them some pointers to help them out.

I don't believe the whole "saving the paychecks" shtick about Sting. Hogan, yes. Bischoff, definitely. Flair, absolutely. But Sting, I highly doubt that.

How will they save TNA? If it hasn't happened yet, why are you under this belief that everything is going to work out all of a sudden? They've had Kurt for a long time and they've had Sting even longer. I really want TNA to be legit competition for the E machine but let's get fucking real here. They have no clue what they're doing.

The saving paychecks line wasn't meant to be a shot at Sting, it's that at this point in his career Sting is worthless on tv as far as getting viewers, I am sure he is amazing backstage with the talent, but does not mean shit for ratings and popularity. Kurt Angle is done, the best thing going in TNA in an angle with Double fuckin' J! You do this type of angle after Kurt has established TNA and just to keep him relevant while the younger guys take the title scene.

I could do without the dueling chants during every match. And give Generation Me some better clothes and a hair-cut. And why does every group need to have some kind of weird name?

Yeah I think it was work. TNA changes things on the fly all the time so why wouldn't they change the card if Jeff Hardy was fucked up?

I really think whoever said that Jeffy Hardy was going to do a Charlie Sheen gimmick is on to something. That would be such a Vince Russo idea.
