UGHHHHHHHHHHHH I hate when Dusty does this.

Normally the Reds starting lineup has Cabrera hitting 2nd, Votto 3rd, and Stubbs 7th. But tonight Janish, Cairo, and Heisey are playing in their places. So how does Dusty switch the lineup? HE DOESN'T. He just subs the players into the lineup based on the guy they're replacing. So Janish is hitting 2nd, Cairo is 3rd, and Heisey, clearly the best hitter of the three, is 7th.

Little news going down in Texas right now and I'm curious to get some opinions from us baseball fans.

So, as some of you may have heard, the Rangers are bankrupt. The auction for the team is going on today and only 2 groups are going back and forth. One is the group led by pitching god Nolan Ryan, MLB's "preferred buyer" and current Rangers president. The other is Mark Cuban's group, bad boy owner of the Dallas Mavericks.

As of right now, Cuban leads the bidding. And it'll probably go back and forth through the night.

Now think hypothetical. IF Cuban or Ryan wins the bidding. You think MLB will approve the sale? Will the Rangers be the team to beat come next year? Will Mark Cuban take MLB ownership to the next level?

Just curious. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand, GO!

They most likely won't approve Cuban's bid. I believe Ryan will win the bid. Even if Cuban did get it, he still can't compete with the Yankees and Red Sox $ wise.

I think if Cuban wanted, he could outspend the Yankees and Red Sox combined, but the problem is the fanbase isn't the same. If there wasn't a salary cap in the NBA Im sure he'd have the Mavericks spending a lot as well.

But it wouldn't be hard for Cuban, who already owns HDNET, to set up some sort of Mavericks/Rangers Sports Network similar to YES which would help expand the fanbase.

I dont know what Showalter said/did in the past 72 hours, but the Orioles are playing some really inspired baseball right now for a team thats like 35 games under .500.

Its 8-1 Os over the Angels in the 4th. Luke Scott just hit his 20th HR. Felix Pie has been the most improved of all..hes looked great the last two games.

Definitely don't think MLB would approve a sale to Cuban. Baseball owners are a bunch of crotchety old men. Cuban would probably be seen as as a young whippersnap who will mess everything up.

YES Network alone is $3 billion or based on the buying price when it was rumored for sale a few years ago.
