Hearing that the Mets just got Shawn Green for Victor Diaz and Royce Ring...D'Backs paying some of Green's salary

Sounds pretty good. Diaz can take his .223 AVG and .275 OBP in the minor leagues elsewhere.

Mainly a postseason move for the Mets. No way in hell do you want Milledge starting during the playoffs, so you stack up on veterans (also heard of getting Preston Wilson) to possibly take his spot. It's gonna be like Spring Training in September, basically

Man its gonna be such a fun end to this season in the AL.

Also, if ESPN is like Sky over here, the schedule for the entire year is set out before the season starts, they only tend to change them when there are rain-outs etc. And lets face it, nobody expected the Tigers to be as good as they have. Plus over here we've really had as many CWS games as we have Yankee or Red Sox ones. We're getting the Tigers/Red Sox tomorrow night, should be good

I still think the Red Sox got a pretty good chance of making it (Well depending what happens this weekend) but if not, I am glad they didn't do something stupid and trade away really good prospects for some 2 and a half month rental player. I just wish Beckett could turn it around, if he get his shit together the future rotation could be pretty sick with Lester, Beckett and Papelbon (He'll prob be moved back since he has shown to actaully be a human in the last few weeks) Then with Hanson and Declaremen in the pen as well the pitching staff should be pretty good. Of course they'll have to pick up a few more pieces but Red Sox got the resources to do that I'd think.
