Combat Training is basically private match. You can invite friends to it. And have split screen with someone at your house. No you can't play CT on Local. You have to be online.

I thought it was established long ago that the games made by Treyarch that come out approximately a year after the Activision game comes out are not nearly as good as their predecessors and just throw in a bunch of features of weapons to make them look appealing

Also, connectivity problems out the ass when partying. Takes like 5+ tries sometimes. Their servers are just having issues I'm guessing due to the number of people online.

Had this same problem trying to do the online multiplayer so we just rocked the combat training mode. I noticed the little bar at the bottom that gives random stats said over 1100 people have already prestiged

Treyarch did a good thing here.

Even though I have only played 3 or 4 games online, I love this game. Everything runs much smoother (so far).
