Still trying to figure out why the LA Kings are playing the Pittsburgh Penguins in a preseason game tomorrow in KANSAS CITY...

The only thing I can come up with is that the NHL is trying to find new homes for a couple teams are are testing the waters.

There has been talk about Kansas for a while and it's not like the NHL hasn't gone into markets that have failed in the past : Atlanta, Winnipeg, Colorado for example.

Oh, I know the NHL has had its eye on KC for a while. If the Pens hadn't won the Crosby lottery, it was almost a given that we'd be talking about the KC Penguins.

Well it didn't take long for the refs to fuck up a good hit. Brendan Smith got a match penalty and will be suspended for a perfectly good hit on Ben Smith. The NHL is full of pussies.

I went to the Predators 4-1 win over the Capitals last night. Super fun. Love me some Predators. Shea Weber is a BEAST. Rinne started in goal, too, which was awesome. He was on fire.

Bruins might have lost 2-1 to the Senators but managed to outplay Ottawa for most of the game and the power play scoring is improving.

Bruins have around $5 million in cap space for emergency in case the PP struggles again and could even reach $9 million should Savard get placed on the long-term injury list.

ESPN has Tyler Seguin as their sleeper pick for having a great year but also said this year will be another "development" year but not as restrictive as last year.

What's the deal with watching NHL internationally? How much is that Gamecenter thing, and is it more if you're not in US/Canada? I'm pumped to be able to catch 1 capitals game before I go to south america

I think it's useable in foreign countries. Gamecenter is either 20 dollars a month or 159 dollars. I just bought it and I'm pumped. You get NHL Vault access with it, too.

It looks like if Phoenix moves after the season (NHL on the last year of its takeover deal), the whole conference setup could be changed because some of the Western Conference teams wanting to move.

Detroit wants to go to the East but a bunch of West teams are worried that would take away their main draw of the conference and a few teams in the East don't want another powerhouse team upsetting the current balance. Columbus wants out of the West if Detroit leaves and Dallas wants out of the Pacific division if teams are allowed to move.
