So the final verdict?
Thanks to UPN being the Urinous Pussy Network, this PPV has minimal payoff. Christian falls. Hassan falls (had they not said the "never be seen on SmackDown again" line) Rey wins? Benoit continues to get buried (but then again, since he is a former World Champ, he shouldn't be going backwards with the belts IMO). MNM loses the tag belts. (I don't see Heidenreich/Animal holding them for long though) The title match ends in a clusterfudge DQ. Well, at least JBL didn't win it again this year. There'll definitely be a 3 way at Summerslam. I'd rather see Hassan job to Batista than Undertaker at this point. The rest of this PPV is irrelevant. I would have been happy either way the Mexicools/bWo match went, and LOL @ the B&P match... Hassan doesn't deserve to be killed off, though. They should put him on Raw before WWE moves from Spike back to USA. I can't say that enough. Maybe a last minute trade deal with RAW could happen, but that's wishful thinking. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE WITH OJ. He needs a real finisher, and not that blasted Complete Shot. Hassan uses it, so does OJ, so does Taker....a new finisher is needed for him. If he's going to be wearing that US Title, he needs both fodder and something to make him stand out. |

Christian- Why bury him already? You've been handed a good thing. A guy who is over, and was starting to get into the spotlight on Raw. You push him back down to that eternal midcard jobber he was before?
MNM Loses- Ok, Heidy and Animal aren't going to be around long since Animal most likely will leave soon, as this is just publicity. You did not need to have the belts on them for publicity. You could have MNM keep the builts, retaining their heat, but in a cheap/fluke way that still makes Animal look good. Publicity without doing damage to MNM Eddie Loses- What's the point? He definatley should have won. He can't keep losing. He has to win one eventually. Tonight should have been it. Benoit loses- This one is just mind boggling. No one cares about Orlando Jordan. Benoit is one of the top stars, and fresh from Raw. It would make sense to put the belt on him. Especially when after the eventson Smackdown,he has a potential program with Eddie already. While OJ was nothing, is nothing, and has nothing to go onto. Batista getting DQed- Why take away his steam? He beat HHH three times, lethim beat JBL. Show that he is truly the top guy. |

You know, I'm seriously disappointed with ALL of you. Iinstead of giving us a play-by-play commentary and what's going on with the PPV, like I expect from the RAW threads, you guys bitch and complain about the n00bs. Sure, the n00bs did ruin this thread by posting utter shit and annoying the hell out of everybody ("What is wrestling?" WTF?!), but seriously, at the time that the bWo vs. Mexi-Cools happened, nobody bothered to even mention it, except for an occasional "oh wow crazy leg drop". A fucking leg drop. Wow, okay, that helps.
There's a reason I don't buy any PPVs anymore. I can find live results on the web. Tonight I was disappointed by this board, more by the idiotic n00bs infesting this thread with their stupidity, but also a little bit at the rest of you guys for paying attention to them and playing along with them.  Ranting over.

Right I watched this at like 1am to 3 or 4am so I fell asleep during bits so can somebody fill in the blanks
Animal & Heidenrich vs MNM - Liked the match, good result Christian vs Booker T - I think Booker T lost, can't remember Benoit vs Jordan - Benoit definitely lost this BWO vs Mexicools - pretty sure Mexicools won this Rey vs Eddie - no idea must have fallen asleep after Rey came close to the win with the 619 Torrie vs Melina - ???? was this actually on the card? Must have slept right through it Undertaker vs Hassan - good match, good ending JBL vs Batista - saw the very end of this where Batista was celebrating, I think a DQ was involved somewhere |

Booker won, he slammed Christian into the steps and finished him off with a scissors kick from the middle turnbuckle.
Eddie beat Rey with 2 trifecta suplexes and hit the frogsplash. He covered Rey cockily and it was reversed, Rey got the surprise win, Eddie flipped out and hit his head on the turnbuckle a few times before arguing with a fan, no idea if it was a plant or not. OJ came in with a chair and struck Batista across the back. Later Batista used it on OJ and then on JBL, which the ref saw. |

Booker T won with a scissor kick off the second rope, Mexicools won, although my satelite signal buggered for the ending due to the bad weather, Rey eventually won the match with a crucifix pin after Eddie destroyed him with the rolling suplexes/brainbuster/frog splash. Torrie vs Melina = piss break. JBL won by DQ after Batista nailed him and Jordan with a chair.

91 - 100 - Perfect. A flawless PPV, you must buy this. Without a doubt this belongs in everyone's wrestling collection. 81 - 90 - Superb. An outstanding PPV, I highly recommend that you buy this. 71 - 80 - Great. A first-rate PPV, certainly worth your money. 61 - 70 - Good. A satisfying PPV. Perhaps buy this if you really feel you want it. 51 - 60 - Fair. An average PPV. It is worth a look, not your money. 41 - 50 - Mediocre. A dull PPV. - Perhaps take a look at this if you get a chance, I don't recommend it though. 31 - 40 - Poor. An unsatisfactory PPV - Maybe for hardcore wrestling fans, not for anyone else. 21 - 30 - Bad. A lousy PPV - This is not worth a look from anyone. 11 - 20 - Terrible. An awful PPV - Stay away from this and make sure you never see it. 1 - 10 - Abysmal. An appalling PPV - This is just a waste of time. WWE GREAT AMERICAN BASH 2005: MNM vs. Heidenreich & “Road Warrior” Animal - 6.5/10 Not a bad opener but nothing great either. Boring for the most part with a few good spots of brief entertaining wrestling. Animal didn't look like he was in good shape and this probably affected the quality of the match. Christian vs. Booker T - 6/10 I didn't expect much from this, a very average match to say the least. I've seen these two have better matches on smackdown. Clearly a match put in to pass the time, nothing terrible but once again nothing amazing. Orlando Jordan vs. Chris Benoit - 5.5/10 It's rare that I give a Benoit match such a low rating but this was very disappointing. The two men didn't seem to work well together, the match was void of excitement and intensity, it was plain out boring and the ending sucked. The Undertaker vs. Muhammad Hassan - 7/10 The match itself was certainly not something I would watch again, it probably deserves a 5 rating. The only reason this gets pulled up to a 7 is because of the events that took place after the match ended. Undertaker beating on Hassan's helpers was probably the most exciting part of the PPV. Davari takes a sick shot when his head gets smashed hard into the announcer's table. The power bomb through the stage clearly involved Hassan landing on padding but none the less is was entertaining and the crowd were really into it. The Mexicools vs. The BWO - 6/10 To be honest I was looking forward to seeing this match. I expected ECW chants and i was pleased that i heard them. The match itself disappointed me, it was way too short. I expected each member of the Mexicools to do some great high risk move but it seemed that Juvi seemed to be trying all the high flying stuff. For the short time it lasted it was entertaining. Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio - 6.5/10 This dragged on way too long. It should have been no DQ so the real intensity could be portrayed with some hardcore action. Most of the match consisted of Eddie going out to Rey's son. I expected more from this. Yes it had some good spots but it is far from memorable. Torrie vs. Melina - 2/10 Typical women’s match. no one cares about their ‘wrestling’ skills. What a waste of time. I wish they made some of the other matches longer instead of throwing in this garbage to please the horny teenage boys that know nothing about wrestling. Batista vs. JBL - 6.5/10 Giving this a 6.5 is probably pretty generous. The match was slow paced and nearly all brawling. The sad thing is that this was the main event. Nothing great from both men. The ending was a bit surprising. I wasn't expecting this to end on a DQ. The only reason this is a 6.5 is because of Batista's anger at the end of the show where he assaults JBL and Orlando with chairs and power bombs. SCORE: 46/80 (58/100) According to the key, I have rated this PPV as 'Fair, an average PPV. It is worth a look, not your money'. To be honest i feel that even this rating is too generous. This is certainly not worth anyone's money and i also feel that i am wrong in saying that it is worth a look. I feel that it is not even worth a look. It is too average for a PPV. Most of the matches felt like television matches, not PPV ones. |

I enjoyed the ppv mostly. First match had a pretty cool ending, I hope they do more stuff with these two. I enjoyed OJ Vs Benoit and Undertaker Vs Hassan was most excellent. Good PPV overall.
