There are previews going around most sites of the new level that Rockstar has been showing and apparently at one point the car blows up while Niko is in it and it shoots him out and he ends up living. Not sure how it works, like if you have to be hanging out the window or something, but it would be nice if I had another chance to live through a burning car.

Also, since the rockets use the RAGE system, if you shoot a rocket at a weird angle towards the ground or something they will deflect off. I'm sure if you shot it straight down it will blow up but still.

Since there has been a good amount of previews being shown and it hasn't been posted, here is a link to an article about one. http://kotaku.com/354714/gta-iv-reinventing-a-world

In the article it talks about a couple of missions and lets out a couple of features in the game. There is one point where the demo player recieves a "one man army" achievement after he shot down a helicopter.

There is an auto-save feature after every mission now.

It takes 2 minutes for 1 hour in-game.

There's a cinematic mode that slows down time whenever you want to help you fly through traffic and such.

When you ride in cabs you can either sit the entire time or skip it entirely as well as bribe the cabbie to break the laws and drive faster.

The article talks a little about the targeting system revamp and how you can free fire now.

And, finally, no co-op. Just multiplayer.

Here are some notes from Microsoft about the downloadable content. Kind of puts the size of this into perspective.

* When MS says exclusive, they mean that no other system can have DLC content for GTAIV
* It will be bigger than a lot of people think. GTA3 Vice City and San Andreas were basically expansions of GTA3. Think of the DLC that way. We are talking major expansion for GTAIV
* No price has been discussed yet. It’s up to Rockstar on whether or not they will charge for it
* If successful, DLC may be the new way to deliver GTA expansions

Not entirely true. Rockstar had said that they made two exclusive DLCs for the 360 version (it's actually two additional "episodes"), but nothing has been said about the PS3 version. I haven't seen any source yet that MS would be disallowing Rockstar to release any DLC to the PS3 version (I could imagine Sony suing the living SHIT out of MS if MS tried to do that).

A lot of sites got a new preview this week. Two hours each. Here's some notes from them:
  • Once you die and end up in hospital, you receive a text on your phone offering you to retry the mission.
  • Only one island (Broker/Dukes) is unlocked to begin with. The other areas are blocked with police blockades. The second area (Bohan) will open up "sooner than it has in previous GTAs."
  • You can drop grenades and molotov cocktails out of the car window at high speed. Headlights can be put on full beam or dipped, but cannot be turned off.
  • You can pause and select a destination on the full-size map, which is then reflected on the radar. This marks the route out in blue.
  • You cannot store items/objects inside vehicles.
  • Cars are not customisable, but you can still save them at safe houses.
  • There are eighteen radio stations in total. One is called The Vibe, which is RNB and soul. The other genres on offer include funk, reggae, jazz, dance, modern Jamaican, pop, hardcore, hip hop and a specific Eastern European station.
  • Dropped weapons and other items have a yellow halo around them, and the mission markers are now yellow arrows floating in the air, pointing at the ground, as opposed to the cylinders we are used to in previous GTAs.

R* is really getting into episodic downloads. may see some for the PS3 version.

Okay, retarded comments aside, this sounds like this is going to be one kick ass game, and things are DEFENITLY looking a LOT better for the PS3 version after this.
