Yeah, I've been loving it on LIVE. Playing someone who is on a harder difficulty is still somewhat imbalanced. If someone with skill goes on medium they can easily hit all the notes and beat someone on hard. However I've only encountered someone doing this once. Everyone else I played who picked medium was missing notes here and there, and I beat them.

Also, I really like battle mode. Don't know why so many people don't like it. Its just a different way to play. Although not being able to play the boss batlle songs outside of career is IMMENSELY gay.

Just played like 4 hours straight. On the last tier of hard, still gotta beat Raining Blood and One.

Love the game. Yeah, the HOPOs are easier, and it makes flying through solos a hell of a lot of fun. Haven't gone online yet either, though I would like to have some sick battles with Kalyx and UWarrior.

The only place to buy it in my town was wal-mart and they didn't even have the game by itself, so now I have 2 xplorers. Wanted a 2nd guitar anyways, but I wanted that les paul.

Yeah I bought it off a power seller on ebay, I sent him a message first if it would work on my PAL console and he said it would play fine.
If it doesn't work i'll send it back, better than waiting a month anyway :\

Easier in game engine. But no worries, the transfers are harder than previous Guitar Hero games and three-note 'attacks' are normal on expert (all I've played was on Expert).

For some reason it took me like five tries to finish "My Name Is Jonas", something about the acoustic lines my fingers couldn't get around. But that does bring an interesting detail to light: Certain solo lines that you'd think would be completely HO/PO would have gaps in there you would have to 'restart' a HO or PO move. Wireless and IR (infrared) technology are right now, anyway, like mixing water and oil, you try and they won’t mix.

Being ergonomic isn't innovation. In fact, it's par for the course.

Having a wireless remote as a controller is not innovative.

Having an IR sensor bar is not innovative.

What are we left with...Peripheral attachments, which instead of plugging into the console, you now plug into the Wiimote. Wow. Superficial changes such as where you plug things in are innovative? COME ON.

You're a fucking moron who overuses "innovative," Most likely because you heard Nintendo use it. And that's okay, because I love you anyway. But you did make it incredibly easy to refute. I eagerly await your arguments for the "innovation" of Sony's USB ports, and Microsoft's "innovative" proprietary Wireless integration. Wait, I know...Sega's innovation for add-ons that allow you to play different types of games!

Yeah, hardly see how using adding a sensor bar and making it wireless was that innovative. Sony's Guncons had great tracking. They were wired, but didn't have to use a stupid sensor bar. All they did was trade off one thing for another with the Wii-mote. It's not new technology - It's just very slightly streamlined technology. Streamlined =/= innovative.

Just because I play one system more than another doesn't make me any more of a "fanboy" of that system over the other current consoles, just as the same would apply to you.

So in summation how does this sound...we just agree to disagree on certain points, and let these people get back to talking about GHIII: Legends of Rock, since that is the Game the thread is about, not who's got a "better" system or any of that.

I can make it to 1% on Through the Fire on Expert....that is pretty sad...

I played Co-Op online earlier with someone...it was pretty fun....havnt done battles yet online but im sure I would get my ass kicked

Blitz won most of them, two of which were pretty close (Damn that "One"). One track I didn't even make 6 digits because I kept looking at his progress! He doesn't miss a thing!

I have this mental problem where certain lines are easy until they're required to get SP. You may have noticed this on the Santana joint where I was missing easy notes (then I turn around and nail triple transfers and solos). Glad to break you into Expert difficulty, and what a debut for you.

This game needs some kind of lobby, or atleast an option to replay a friend. That's Network Gaming 101 there.

Yeah I always miss the easiest notes when they carry star power.

Top example last year was Misirlou on Hard (honestly could never beat it on Expert). Those two sections that are fuckoff fast, I would fail unless I picked up the star power before it. I would strum fast as fuck and it still wasn't fast enough

Hey, question for people who are seasoned GH types: Do you upstrum?

I can't do a fucking upstroke in time. Not to save my life. Vito's "fast parts" bit made me think of that. I like, seriously, suck at the upstroke for some reason. So I play Jerry Lee LEwis style (Too Esoteric?).

Yeah I have a major problem in that my left hand is really weak. Like I honestly think there is a medical issue, because no matter how hard I train my left hand, I can't move my middle, ring, or pinky fingers by themselves. The others always move with eachother. And I practiced piano for five years with absolutly nothing changing, so its not just an issue of needing more practice.

So because of this, its pretty much impossible for me to do fret work with my left hand outside of easy. So I learned to play lefty flip. Which works great until I get to songs like KoC and One on hard. Because I cant double strum that fast with my left. Thats why I screwed uo One with Kalyx. Got to that machine gun rythem part, and it ate me alive.

I seriously feel like I'm never even gonna finish hard because of this.

My hands actually mimmick one another. Which is especially fun when it comes to guitar (and guitar hero to a lesser extent).

I mean, on the upside, I have very good body memory, but on the downside, I move in stereo.

The 7th set is making hate Earth for spawning the man (in some small part) who created the note progression for those songs. My roomy said "I sucked" when one of those songs bested me and I seriously considered kicking him in the face.
