I find that most people are leaning toward Impact just because it's something different, rather than it actually being THAT much better than Raw.

Even though I probably watched more Impact than RAW, by definition making it the winner, I would have to say RAW is the winner.

I was watching RAW by default and when it got boring I switched to TNA. I planned on doing it the other way around but Taker-HBK grabbed my attention. And for the main event I watched RAW. So Vinny Mac takes this one, can Dixie bounce back next week?

I am going to say Impact!

I decided to go with Impact! first until I saw Hogan enter then I changed the channel. Then Taker was boring me so I switched back and caught Sting's return, and that was the start of TNA putting out a much better show.

One thing I have hated is the fact that on a two hour show TNA will have 12 minutes of wrestling. That is nuts. However, TNA makes their matches a lot quicker and hard hitting, just more realistic and exciting.

I loved RVD's return with Sting. I think it was the right thing to do. It didn't bury Sting and it put RVD over clean in his debut. The beatdown was the right thing to do for Sting's heat, and it didn't hurt RVD's credibility or debut. How could you say that? He just got into a major program with STING.

That is awesome.

The Main Event and opening segments were so much better than I thought they would be. Wow. Flair ... STILL.. HAS IT!
Amazing.

I am however sick of Aj Styles and I don't like him anymore due to being hokey and fake in his promo's. Also I don't see him as a threat to anybody especially a guy like Abyss, no matter how good or phenomenal or how many flips he can do. He's not a fucking heavyweight don't call him the heavyweight champion.

It ran through my mind that maybe we could have a Horsemen stable appear.

Flair/Styles/Wolf/Sting???

That would blow my nut sac clear off the page.

The X-Division title match was amazing and better than most top Raw matches this year.
And holy shit can Jeff Jarrett still work like a pro, he is a legend. He is what southern wrestling is all about. Please keep Double J around to teach these spot monkey's how to tell a basic story in a match.

Jeff Jarrett is so under rated in the IWC. He has been so political for so many years he looses respect a lot like Triple H, but now he is working his ass off.

I didn't watch the womens tag match and I am really turning against Angle. He hasn't entertained me since his 2/3 falls match with Wolf. The patriot stuff makes me sick. And not in a good way because I really don't care about Anderson potentially kicking his ass.

I wish that Angle would give it up for a while, think of something new. I am tired of seeing him in a suit and cutting overly serious promo's. He isn't as good at that as he used to be, and now is so stale I don't think even Hogan has much faith in him to carry TNA.

TNA did it man.

Not to say that TNA didn't have faults, but it's a lot better than anything I've seen WWE put on in a long time; even when they 'pull out all their tricks'. TNA is laying the ground work for something good.

The production of TNA was intense. From the first match, to Sting, to the announcers selling it, to Flair cutting a rip roaring ass promo and Abyss screaming while dabbing the blood pouring from his head.

Some of Impact was amazing.

I believe networks and companys will be looking at the ratings to see who won as this will give them more advertising revenue.

I would say Raw wins that battle.

RVD's return was an atrocity. Dunno how anyone could think that made him look good. Love that 70 security guards were holding Hogan back but none wanted to help the guy getting beaten by a baseball bat.

What I really liked about RVD's return was how he ignited the crowd. The pop you hear when "RVD" appears on the screen was insane for such a small crowd, was just an exciting moment.

I haven't checked out RAW yet, maybe someone who watched both shows can do a comparison of each. I'm imagining RAW was more of the same old, slow paced, yawn inducing, PG rated nonsense with an appearance by Hornswoggle. I could be wrong.

IMO Impact won the night. Good opening match, RVD debut, Jarrett and Beer Money, Scott Hall trying, good main event, Hardy return.

the only things on Raw i tuned into were the Orton vs Legacy match and the main event

The RVD return had him going over one of the top men in wrestling history, clean, in under a minute…….

Yes he got pasted after, with a bat, so it’s not making him look weak, unless you expect him to no sell a bat of course.

The triple threat match that Impact had was pretty entertaining as well. There were times where I felt like the show captured that Attitude era feeling, with the impromptu matches, debuts, and the heel turn from Sting, it just stayed interesting, imo.

I'll say that the Army segment with Kurt Angle was a little cringeworthy, though.

I for one really enjoyed iMPACT, didn't even bother switching to Raw. (though I did record it on my DVR so I can watch it tonight) My only real complaints were the whole Angle segment involving the troops and not seeing Hamada compete. Other then that not a bad show overall

Both shows had its ups and downs. I don't think eaither one was above the other to be honest. As a whole the best segment of the night was Sting and RVD. I understand the RVD fans were upset and like I said in Juan's thread, Hogan should of never been in that segment. The whole focus should of been on RVD trying to fight back against Sting and the bat, but it wasn't. still was a great segment though.

Really didn't think any show was that good, but I guess gun to my head I'd go Raw.

I haven't had a chance to see Impact yet but from what i heard Hogan was on screen for about 1/3 of the broadcast so thats enough for me to say RAW. TNA have the talent (that was there before Hogan) to compete but they continue to showcase the older stars for the immediate draw rather than building for the future.

HBK/Undertaker encounter was pretty solid. Orton is one of my favorites so I rarely turn away from a match of his, and that remained constant last night. The magician stuff was absolute garbage. The Triple H/Sheamus encounter was good, and I definitely like the direction they are going where Triple sees Sheamus on a path similar to the one he traveled. I also thought Sheamus slowly backing away from Triple H after Trips essentially laid out the 'Mania challenge was a great sort of "mind game" move and I thought he sold it well. The main event was what it was; silly in regards to established rules for matches of that type, but of course from a story perspective, he's the Chairman, so in reality he makes the rules. It got accomplished what it needed to and was pretty fast paced. I can't say I hated it. Cena beat down for 10 minutes, even with occasional Super Cena antics, is usually a check in the win column.

As for TNA, the segments I tuned in to were bits and pieces of the first five minutes, the Triple Threat X division match, Velvet Skye's ass, RVD's return and subsequent beat down, thirty seconds of Jeff Jarrett, and then the very end of the main event. It was different to say the least. I said it before earlier, but it was real sad watching Hogan slowly moving around that ring. It's different watching Flair because I feel like he's been old like that forever so he really has no shame, but it was rough watching Hogan. Especially his bleedfest.

Despite that triple threat, which had some pretty sick spots, I'm going with RAW today.

As much as I personally disliked the show (only real highlight for me was the X Division 3 way) I will say TNA won the night. I personally enjoyed RAW much more, but TNA got people talking, and that's very important at this point in time. They accomplished what they wanted, and I'm sure the numbers will reflect that.

Of course, it's now up to TNA to keep interest.

I was watching an episode of iMPACT from a couple weeks ago (might have even been last week) but Flair and AJ were trash talking Abyss for like 15 minutes straight. The crowd looked so bored it was really bad

I agree with this. TNA has improved their "look" by getting rid of that retarded 6-side ring, improving their production and giving their set the illusion of being a bigger crowd and all, but the X-Division can't carry this company. They need to improve their main event scene and top matches. I really hope they don't turn WCW circa 99 onwards with old fucks always running the main event.

I thought TNA was an interesting show, but where the FUCK was the wrestling??? You had a bunch of guys over 40 working the mic for almost the entire show? Ok, now that the Hogan/Flair thing has been done AGAIN... Can we please move the fuck on....
Get to the younger guys who got you there the past 8 years... I disagree with the RVD situation... Yeah it got him over in a program with Sting, but why do we want to see him in a program with that piece... I do like that Sting turned heel, but why drg the segment out SOOOOO LOOOOONG... They dragged them all out... The only thing the Hogan/Flair matches (2 matches REALLY?) accomplished was that we could all see that they can still bleed... And I'm the biggest Flair fan ever...

WWE won with the same show they put on every week... Santinos clips were better writing that the TNA stuff... Desmond wolf looked good... Scott Hall was WASTED, how sad is that? TNA is going down... Write that down...

Russo run debut shows always start off well and then go nowhere. I'm sure RVD will be jobbing to Sharkboy in two weeks. I love TNA fans. They are ROH fan wannabe's which is pretty bad.

RAW won. iMPACT! had some good moments, and the better main event (congrats on beating McMahon vs Cena!) but RAW was better overall IMO.
