The only thing to me that could be truly shocking for TNA is if Batista defected from the WWE and joined them at Slammiversary. That literally could be the only thing that would shock me.

It's all good man. I'd love to be wrong, but I doubt and care so little that I'm not going to tune in or even read the spoilers. Unless it get's some major press from the IWC, non-TNA marks.

TNA needs to do something so big that it gets non-fans and former fans (the most important fans at this point) talking. Not Monday Night Wars 2 big (before it happened), but even bigger.

Something that would turn the wrestling world upside down.

Short of bringing Vince McMahon himself on-screen with a stable of The Rock, Triple H, Steve Austin, John Cena and The Undertaker, and booked by the WWE creative team lead by Paul Heyman, it ain't happening.

Can't be Ross because he signed with WWE. He can do anything but wrestling - MMA (probably not UFC though), football, etc.

Has Dixie thought that by building it up like this, she's setting herself up for a major disappointment for the fans? Shock value comes from not knowing something big is coming at all, that's what makes something truly shocking IMO.

I'm going to make my prediction here and say that it's going to be something regarding format, or the actual nature of their product that will be the absolute nail in the coffin for them.
It will be some ridiculous concept like not having a ring, or having it be in a cage like UFC or something.

Kind of going out on a limb, but I can see TNA being desperate enough to fuck with the product this badly. They seem to be crazy enough to do something like that, and move completely away from wrestling.
I think I've even heard Bischoff throw around ideas like that somewhere before.

I've actually considered a promotion booked entirely by the IWC. Like fans write in whatever direction they should take with a character or who should win a match. The entire show being a community effort. I don't think it could work legit, but it would be fun.

At this point they just want anyone to tune in. I don't think they are thinking far enough ahead to worry about whether they piss them off or not.
They should promise free Ice Cream if it means getting people to watch Impact now. Honestly, interest was never very high, but ever since the move back to thursdays with their tail between their legs, it just seems like they've crawled under the porch to die.
