I'm not going to lie, there is a soft spot in my heart for this guy. I've always loved the Kane character and thought that for a big guy he always moved around very well. I dislike many of the angles they've given him. I have always been impressed with the guy's love for the business though. He's willing to lose to help out the newer guys, yet he somehow always seems to be over with the crowd. He also had that amazing promo when the Undertaker was found in a vegetative state. I honestly had goosebumps while watching that. I really want to give the guy an 8 but I rated Rey a 7 and I think they should be in similar classes....

Oh fuck it, I like Kane more then Rey anyways. Poll to come.

9. Sure some people might claim his character is bland as fuck. I disagree, though. He can really work the microphone when they let him get really pissed off. Recent example:



He's also always had great themes, despite people saying "Man on Fire" is nowhere near as good as "Slow Chemical", even though it's just a reworked version of his original theme, and I think it's pretty bad-ass and suits him to a "t":


Honestly don't know what's not to at least like, if you don't LOVE it, about that song. Final point I wanted to make as to why I gave him a 9: He's a fucking BEAST! Nobody can deny this. He can go toe-to-toe with the best of the big men WWE has to offer and always could, plus he just goes down to the ring does his matches/and or promos, and leaves. He's a hard worker who has NEVER been in any serious hot water with WWE as far as I can recollect, and I think that's a very commendable thing.

He's the less pushed version of Undertaker. He was actually pretty talented and his introduction was promising, however, his body melting into puddy, his de-masking and mic'work all combined much to his detriment.

He could have been Taker's equal but, instead he's a perpetual mid-carder who does not stand out.

I ranked him 7 because of everything that led to the slow death of the Kane character post 2000. If you are unable to get creative to give you good storylines, then you got some blame too.

A solid 8 for Kane. He's always been one of my favorites, and can certainly work for a big guy. Not to mention, his character is pretty legendary. He could win the title on any given night and it would look believable.

I really wish he could get a reign before he retires...he just deserves to have held the belt for more than a day. But the writers nor Kane himself seem to have any interest in a title reign.

An 8 for sure. Can't get a harder worker for so many years with solid matches all across the board... The only thing holding from a 9 or 10 for me is the weak storylines and when he's a face... Just can't enjoy Kane as a face... Solid on the mic...

He's like the Mikey from Life cereal... Give him any match and he can roll with it...

creative seems to start him in story lines and then they stop.... the rey storyline with the mask, the fake kane, etc the build him up and then leave him in limbo!

Despite him only being WWE Champion once for only 24 hours and his recent jobbing moments i'd still give him a very solid 8 he's not quite on Taker's level but is more agile.

Tough call between a 7 and an 8 for me so I just gave him a 7. Kane's been way under used since 2000-01 to me. I always loved the character and his in ring skills are right up there with some of the best "big" men and brawlers. I also love the fact that he's been such a team player over the years, similar to Taker. Like many others, I'd love to see Kane get at least one legit title run before he retires, at least as a thank you for his loyalty and work ethic over the years.

gave him a 7 because he's a good worker solid talent and always entertains me to some degree althow if I were to rate him back when he had the mask it would have probably been a 9

I gave him an 8, focusing mostly on his earlier work. He's still solid but no longer very interesting. He probably deserves a 6 or 7 these days.
The first half of his career was good enough to keep him locked at 8 for me though.

It's hard to believe that he's been without the mask for longer than he was with it, now.

I'll give him at 8, he was my favourite as a kid, and his ring work is epic.

As for his theme, I think it lacks the presence of all his other themes. Instead of a quiet symphany, it should be loud. Whenever you heard one of his old themes you know "Kane's about to fuck shit up."

He's a team player, and actually enjoys putting younger talent over.
When WWE gives him his last World Title Reign, it'll solidfy him as a 10.

Masked Kane was a hard 9 maybe even a soft 10 but over the years it averages out to a soft 9 or a hard 8.
