Hypothetical - WWE doesn't own the ECW theme
Now I'm 90% sure that WWE owns the rights to the ECW theme, so this is just a hypothetical.
If they didn't own the theme (and they leased it for when they did the invasion) would TNA be able to use it? Or would the "Extreme Championship Wrestling" references in the lyrics be enough to prevent them? ![]() |

Actually if they get someone else to sing the theme for them, and substitute any of "extreme", "championship" or "wrestling" with any other word, TNA would be fine.

If WWE didn't own the song I would think TNA could use it. The lyrics reference the WWE's copyrighted property, but at the same time the song itself would be considered the intellectual property of the artist (or whomever owns the rights). No idea if that is correct though.
