Scott Armstrong?
I was just watching the Elimination Chamber PPV and saw Scott Armstrong as the ref for the match.

A few days later he was released from the WWE, but I don't think a reason was ever talked about.

Does anybody know why he got the axe?

If I'm not mistaken, I believe his cut was attributed to budget cuts around the time they cut some of the other superstars. I don't believe there was one particular reason for his firing...just cutting costs.

He performed better than the wrestlers which embarrassed Randy Orton. He then bitched about it then got the ref fired.

Odd they used his name, gave him a character for a short time & had him in the middle of of a high profile feud then he is the one they fire. The WWE has been very hush hush on their refs lately not acknowledging them so much.. Dunno why he was fired.
