It sends a message to the public that the UFC may not be as squeaky-clean as it touts itself to be, and it sends a message to prospective fighters that one of the quickest ways to the top is through the juice, considering how quickly Carwin skyrocketed to the top of the pecking order and found himself challenging for a championship. It casts a black mark on Carwin’s entire career, which up until now has had near-unstoppable potential even with his recent loss to Brock Lesnar. Carwin was destined for great things, but now that his name may forever be tied to this conspiracy, he may be branded with a Scarlet Letter and even released from the UFC.

Especially in sport where you aren't guarenteed money and you may need to heal from an injury quickly just so you can get a pay cheque. And where fighters may not be active for months at a time and will let themselves go, and within 10 weeks are in world class shape somehow.

I could be wrong, but I believe that they (Carwin, Angle, etc) recieved the sterioids a number of years ago (When Carwin was still on the regional circuit). Which if it is the case won't really affect his UFC Status.

it's a bit of a weird one. people are in too much of a rush to claim roids for any guy who gets big though. these guys train like 5 hours a day, eat right, take all other kinds of non-roidy supplements, of course they're going to be huge. and don't the ufc test everyone post fight?
