I tip my hat..

The Canadiens out played the Bruins, the Bruins show'd no life in games 5 and 6.

They played a good game tonight, but there never should have been a game 7.

This reminds me why I don't follow hockey and the bruins...

I lost sleep for this...

Kovalev!!!!!!!!!!

I love seeing my favorite ex-pens leading the Canadian teams to victory. Way to go Habs!

Now if only Donovan and Nieminen can help the Flames win tonight, as for tomorrow, not sure if I wanna cheer for Lalime to play well, or Francis to score.

Lapointe's hit looked dangerous, thought he should of had more than 2mins, but then the refs don't wanna hand the game to Montreal with a double minor or major penalty with 3 minutes left.

Montreal played like a bunch of pussies in the 1st few games then all of sudden went nuts in the last 2

Raycroft is still the man tho....hopefully he wins some type of an award or something..he got rookie of the year right?

He should get Rookie of the Year (the Calder). The race is between him and Ryder on Montreal but Raycroft is the front runner

Except for game 1, and and a few lapses in games 2 and 4 and 7, Montreal outplayed the Bruins. Gotta feel bad for the Bruins, having "put all their eggs in one basket" for this season.... only 5 players under contract for next year, ouch. 11 unrestricted free agents.

Great for the Habs, who weren't even expected to make the playoffs.

Nahh, I don't feel bad... they knew what they were doing.

1) There will be a lockout.

2) When (if) the NHL comes back, salaries will be down, some players even "desprate" and the Bruins will have free (cap space? if they put in a cap)

3) They got those guys at the end cause they were free agents. Short investment, and he was hoping for a longer playoff run, meaning more ticket sales and since he owns the arena and consessions it's win/win.

nah VEL, Boston has ALOT of good plyers that are unrestricted, and Boston has a good history of letting players walk. They've got some guys that are gonna cost big money, and there's not gonna be any cap put in place. The players wont take it.

I dunno, I think they're going to let players walk, but I also think we're seeing a small change in the ownership philosiphy.

Jacobs has always run it as a business, w/ a profit %, and never wanted to win it all and go bankrupt like other teams.

That being said, he saw the end of this season, what a winning team means, playoffs tickets, etc.. and since he owns the fleetcenter and the consecion company, it's a big win/win.

I think they set themselves up to have money to spend, not knowing what the landscape would be after the players/owners settle.

As for a salary cap, yeah, I don't see the players going for it either, but... after a year of no work... I mean, the Jagr's will get some nice bucks in other leagues, but the average player will miss that NHL money... I think the players Crack first...

That being said, I wouldn't be shocked to see 2-4 teams fold...
