Theme Songs and Wrestlers
So, after a week of watching wrestling with my girlfriend, she noticed something that I never thought about. She asked me, "So, if the wrestlers have their entrance music sung by a band or themselves, does that mean that they are the top guys in the business?"
Do you think there is some truth to that or not? |

It is true that those on the lower pegs tend to have generic instrumentals (much like Evan Bourne and Daniel Bryanson have now) while the top dogs have bands like Motorhead etc. I'd say for the most part she's correct but some guys excel without big bands playing their songs, such people as HBK, Stone Cold and the Rock spring to mind.

Evan Bourne's music isn't a generic instrumental...

The only thing that we can say about wrestler's music for sure is that if you're black you're going out to rap and if you're Mexican you're going out to something with a trumpet if you're a heel and Mexican rap if you're a face.

It's true to an extent. Most guys who are getting pushed/getting over will get new music, IF there current music is generic.
Bourne got new music as he was over, The Miz, McIntyre as he was getting pushed, Swagger, Shelton during his early Raw push, Cena, (even though he sang it), Jeff Hardy, Cody Rhodes, etc The people who don't get there music changed generally already have catchy, specific music, like the Rock, HBK, Austin, Kofi, etc. I bet if they keep pushing Danielson, he'll get new music, or at least an updated, more catchy version of the one he has. |
