Book a WCW One Night Stand
Pick a year between 2002 and 2010. You can use any former WCW talent, no matter where they were signed that year, but you need to take injuries into account for that time, as well as their state at that time (IE: Ric Flair in 2002 is going to put on a matter match than Ric Flair in 2010).
Now build what you would consider a good WCW One Night Stand card. Where you would do it, how you would build up to it, the name, the date, the matches, etc. This would be under the WWE banner, though, so take that into account. ![]() |

As I'm still forcing myself to go through all of 1999 WCW and watch it gradually getting worse, actually looking forward to when Russo takes over, I just... just can't bring myself to do this without breaking down.

WCW ONE NIGHT STAND
February 22nd, 2004 - Live! from the Georgia Dome in ATL, GA The show would basically be built up by Eric Bischoff as the final big show by WCW and his creation. Over the course of a couple of months, challenges would be made on both RAW and Smackdown by former WCW superstars, including a whiny Chris Jericho demanding that Dean Malenko come out of retirement to face him one last time. MATCH 1: Blitzkrieg vs. Kay Hayashi THE BUILD: Extreme measures would be put forth to bring the original Blitzkrieg out of retirement and train him for a match at the big show. If not, put Jack Evans in the Blizkrieg costume and just pretend it's him. Bring in Kay Hayashi from Japan, as he was one of the best WCW Cruiserweights who never got his play. THE MATCH: Awesome WCW cruiserweight opener, just like the old days. Blitzkrieg wins with the 1080 Corkscrew from the top rope. MATCH 2: Mike Awesome vs. Lance Storm THE BUILD UP: None really, except maybe an "If I can be serious for a moment" promo by Lance before the match. Both men were healthy at this time; just not performing for American crowds, or at all, in Storm's case. The announcers would talk about their history in Team Canada together and in ECW. THE MATCH: Storm escapes multiple attempts by Mike for the Awesomebomb and eventually gets the win with the Canadian Maple Leaf on the big man. MATCH 3: "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner vs. Raven w/ Sick Boy, Lodi and Reese THE BUILD UP: None. Pump comes out and cuts one of his usual nonsensical, abusive and obscene promos before the match. Raven comes out with the Flock and announces it's a Raven's Rules match. THE MATCH: Raven and his boys try everything to take down the steroid freak, including hitting him with weapons, but BPP is too powerful and makes Raven tap out to the Steiner Recliner. MATCH 4: Chris Jericho vs. Dean Malenko THE BUILD UP: Jericho, reverting back to his old hair styles and ways, begins challenging Dean Malenko to the ultimate rematch at One Night Stand on episodes of RAW and Smackdown. Jericho pulls out the old list of 1,001 moves. Malenko finally answers him, but refuses the challenge, saying he's not a wrestler anymore. The next week, Jericho shoots a video of him going into Malenko's house and terrifying his family. Malenko accepts and beats up Jericho in the ring on the last show before their match. THE MATCH: The usual technical warfare between these two great wrestlers who have only gotten better since their encounters in the old WCW. Jericho escapes the Texas Cloverleaf several times and cheats a few times but can't get the pin. Jericho low blows Malenko behind the referee's back and puts him in the Liontamer to get the submission victory. They hug after the match. MATCH 5: Eddie Guerrero & Psychosis vs. Rey Mysterio & Kidman THE BUILD UP: None. Eddie and Psychosis come out in old LWO shirts, and Kidman and Mysterio both wear their old WCW attire as well. THE MATCH: Fast paced cruiserweight tag team action that sees some really good spots. Mysterio doesn't use the 619 at all, but wrestles in his old style instead. Eddie takes the win with a Frog Splash on Kidman. After the match, Rey and Kidman hug and shake hands with Eddie and Psychosis. MATCH 6: Sting vs. Hollywood Hulk Hogan vs. Ric Flair THE BUILD UP: Hogan cuts a promo on RAW stating that he's glad to hear about WCW One Night Stand, but that the show isn't about him, it's about the guys who were busting their asses in WCW when he was on top and who are on top now. He says he won't be wrestling on the show. Ric Flair shows up and says Hogan is a liar and says that WCW was always about Hogan. Flair says that the truth is WCW was always about the Nature Boy. Hogan and Flair continue to have their little spats until Bischoff books a match between the two of them. On the last night before the show, Bischoff says that it will be a triple threat match and Sting comes down from the rafters and clears them both out of the ring. THE MATCH: A short match, which is definitely good considering the total age of the guys in the ring right now. Hogan gets knocked out of the ring and Sting puts Flair in the Scorpion Deathlock for the submission win. Sting is the franchise of WCW. MATCH 7: Diamond Dallas Page vs. Goldberg THE BUILD UP: DDP comes out on RAW as a heel and issues an open challenge for WCW One Night Stand. He says he's the only one who deserves the main event spot at One Night Stand. Goldberg shows up and Spears him. Bischoff makes the match. THE MATCH: A pretty good match considering DDP has been out of the ring for awhile. They recapture their chemistry from Halloween Havoc 98 and DDP reverses the Jackhammer into the Diamond Cutter for a close fall. Goldberg wins in the end with the Spear and the Jackhammer. MATCH 8: Chris Benoit vs. Booker T -- Two-out-of-Three Falls Match THE BUILD UP: Bischoff books the match in respect to their history in WCW together. This was about the same time as Benoit's push toward the World Heavyweight Championship, so him working the main event makes sense. THE MATCH: Awesome technical match from two of the best to ever wrestle in a WCW ring. Booker scores the first fall with an Axe Kick. Benoit gets the second fall with a Diving Headbutt. By the end of the match, Benoit is busted wide open and both men are tired from going over 30 minutes in the ring. Booker goes for the Harlem Hangover, but Benoit rolls out of the way and puts in the Crippler Crossface to get the submission win. AFTERMATH: Benoit and Booker T shake hands. Eddie and Rey Mysterio come out and congratulate Benoit, followed by Saturn and Malenko, then Hogan, Goldberg, DDP, Sting and the rest of the WCW roster and staff in the back. |

They hug because it's the end of the feud. It's over. And it was just a storyline in the end. It doesn't have to make sense because it's over anyways, and would probably be Dean Malenko's last match in his career. |

Starcade: The Final Flair
December 2010 at the MGM Grand Las Vegas, Nevada Double Main Event "I Quit" Match Ric Flair vs Sting The story is that it is Ric Flair and Sting's last match ever, at least thats the plan. Double Main Event Special Reff. Roddy Piper, Outside Enforcer Bret Hart Hulk Hogan vs Bill Goldberg Piper and Hart to add entertainment value to a match that would not be off the charts on the work rate scale. Bill it as the match that Hogan didn't get to train for and try to sell it one the star power. Steve Austin faces the winner of Show/Vader in a beer drinking contest. The Big Show vs Vader Two bad ass big guys, keep it short and sweet. Handicapped Match The Wolf Pac (Nash, Hall, 6pac) vs Rick and Scott The Steiner Brothers Add Pac in so somebody can move in the match. Make it violent to be decent. 2/3 Falls Challenge Booker T vs William Regal A good chance for a good match. Cruiserweight Tag Team Challenge Rey Mysterio & Billy Kidman vs Dean Malenko & Chris Jericho Speaks for itself. Hardcore Match Finlay vs Norman Smiley This would be fun Cruiserweight Match Shane Helms vs Jamie Knoble This could be a great opener. |

I'm going to essentially have my show replace the real ECW One Night Stand, set at the same time (June 2005). To make it more challenging/fun I'm not going to use anybody who was in TNA at that point (no Sting, Jarrett, Raven, Nash, etc.) and I also won't use anybody that Vince wouldn't bring in (Bret at the time, Savage, etc.) I will also honor the face/heel alignments that participating members of the WWE roster had at that time (sorta like how Eddie Guerrero worked as a heel at ECW One Night Stand).
Tried to also book it realistically. VENUE: Club La Vela in Panama City, FL ANNOUNCE TEAM: Tony Schiavone and Jim Ross (Bobby Heenan to make a cameo at some point, Gene Okerlund and Pamela Paulshock *drool* as backstage interviewers) --- Eric Bischoff welcomes everybody to the show. Hulk Hogan soon joins them. The two reminisce before the classic nWo black and white music hits as Scott Hall leads a big contingent of former nWo members (Vincent, Scott Norton, Horace Hogan, etc.) to the ring. Hall and Hogan wind up arguing about Hogan hogging the spotlight. Bisch appears to try and break it up only to kick Hogan in the balls. Since he’s running the show, we’re going to see Hogan vs. Hall tonight – with the nWo’ers serving as lumberjacks! MATCH 1: Chris Jericho and Eddie Guerrero vs. Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko -It’s mentioned on commentary that this match first happened several years ago as a tribute to beloved referee Mark Curtis. Fucking awesome match as you’d expect, although the Jericho/Eddie team soon falls apart because Eddie is playing the heel while Jericho was still a face by this point. Eddie ditches Jericho and Jericho winds up tapping to the Texas Cloverleaf, making it a great return for Dean Malenko. Malenko helps his former rival back up as he, Jericho, and Benoit embrace. MATCH 2: 20-Man Cruiserweight Rumble -Gotta give the cruisers some time here. Let’s see, participants…in terms of guys under contract you have Rey Mysterio, Chavo Guerrero, Shane Helms, Psychosis, Juventud Guerrera, Jamie Noble, Yang, Billy Kidman, and Shannon Moore. Evan Karagias and Kaz Hayashi are brought back to reunite 3 Count and the Jung Dragons, respectively. Ultimo Dragon, Disco Inferno, Alex Wright, Blitzkrieg, La Parka, El Dandy, Silver King, and Villanos IV and V fill out the rest of the field. Royal Rumble-style craziness with 1 minute intervals. Rey wins, which is predictable but likely. Hella fun match. MATCH 3: Booker T vs. Scott Steiner -It’s roided up Scott Steiner, so this probably sucks. But both guys gotta be on the show. Anyway, Stevie Ray comes to ringside to interfere, Rick Steiner thwarts him but not before Stevie Ray was able to slip the Slap Jack to Booker. Booker wins via Slap Jack shot. MATCH 4: Triple Threat – Chris Kanyon vs. Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Diamond Dallas Page -The New Jersey Triad explodes! All 3 guys are awesome and would likely be fired up for this show, so I’d imagine this match is quite good. Bam Bam gets Kanyon with the Greetings From Asbury Park. Bam Bam taunts instead of covering, DDP spins him around and dishes out a Diamond Cutter for the win. BANG! MATCH 5: Vader vs. Goldberg -Crowd should be pretty hot for this one, and as Goldberg mark I would absolutely love I especially since it’s never before seen. Vader has a good showing before Goldberg gets a huge Spear and then hoists the big man up for a Jackhammer and the win. Goooooooldberg! Goooooooldberg! Goooooooldberg! MATCH 6: Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat -Steamboat wins via Diving Crossbody in an exciting match, showing he can still go. Flair was also still pretty damn good at this point so it gives the opening tag match a run for its money as MOTN. Flair and Steamboat shake hands as former Horsemen members come out to celebrate and flash the 4 sign just for the markout moment. Really wish this could close the show, but alas... MATCH 7: Lumberjack Match – Hulk Hogan vs. Scott Hall -I’d imagine that this match sucks, especially compared to the rest of the card. But, there’s at least a story to it. Hogan gets thrown out of the ring several times and gets his ass beat by the old nWo guys. Eventually he decides to no-sell and Hulk Up. Punches, Irish Whip, Big Boot, ear to the audience, Leg Drop, Hogan wins. nWo get back into the ring and attack Hogan again until the cavalry arrives led by Flair, DDP, and Goldberg. Bigass brawl ensues. THE GIANT comes out and grabs Bischoff and throws him into the pool (somebody’s gotta go in the pool at La Vela). Huge celebration in the ring, most of the guys who fought earlier in the night are out there as well as some others who are in attendance but didn’t get booked (Finlay, Big Vito, etc.) End Show. |

Here is another card that only has WWE wrestlers or free agents....
WCW's Biggest Creation's Clash Goldberg vs Booker T Two of the biggest stars WCW created go one on one in a decent 10 minute match. That Booker T will win with an arm bar. Revenge Scott Steiner vs Sid Vicious 10-12 minutes of bloody violence. Sid makes Scott pay for his horrible injury. Scotty bleeds like Goldberg at Halloween Havoc until the match is stopped due to blood loss. Tribute To The Fallen William Regal vs Chris Jericho This is the glue of the show, let them go for a long time and have Jericho win with a roll up. The Bull vs The Giant Big Van Vader vs The Big Show Keep it short and sweet and Vader somehow wins with the moonsault. Cruiserweight Clash Rey Mysterio & Billy Kidman vs Juventude Guerra & Psicosis Another chance to make the show decent, keep it for about 15 minutes and let them go! Rey wins of course. Somebody Call My Momma The Cat vs Ron Simmons Squash, Simmons wins. DAMN Cruiserweight Clash X-Pac vs Ultimo Dragon Kind of random but that is bound to happen. This could be a great match, have Dragon win. Hardcore Match The Nasty Boys vs Norman Smiley & Finlay Typical WCW hardcore match, The Conquest prevails |
