Who Wins the "Six Pack Challenge" @ Night of Champions?
Remember, the winner of the match is determined by a single pinfall or submission. That means Sheamus does not need to be pinned or submit to lose the WWE Title. So, who do you guys think will end up winning?
John Cena, Randy Orton, Sheamus, Edge, Chris Jericho or Wade Barrett? |

I'm hoping Barrett, the other guys have been champ enough.
After Jericho leaves, I bet he comes back in a few month and feuds with Barrett for the title as face. That's assuming that he wins. |

Barrett wins with the help of Nexus. This would allow for Jericho to take his break; Sheamus to feud with HHH when he gets back; Orton to feud with Edge (just wishful thinking on my part); and Cena to win the title back just in time for Wrestlemania.
OR: They have Orton go over and then Miz cashes in and steals the win and eventually lead to Cena winning the title just in time for Wrestlemania. |

As I said in another thread about this, I think The Miz will cash in on the winner. It'd be redemption for Miz as he would have probably lose the US Title to Daniel Bryan earlier on.
That being said, if this happens I really hope Sheamus retains before losing. I'm sick of these "win the belt and lose it in the same night" stunts they pull, seemingly just to boost guys' resumes. |

I say either Sheamus or Barrett, but Miz will walk out champion that's my prediction. He'll lose the US title but leave as World Champion. I don't think he should be champion but it would be a good ending for a PPV. Barrett winning is a maybe simply because Otunga or somebody else in Nexus will accidentally cost him the match. Plus, you know they have to start a tension between Barrett and somebody in the Nexus and as much as he sucks Otunga is the best person for that aspect.

these quick title changes/title runs water down the belt. It no longer means anything anymore, until the belt is unified
that being said, either Barrett or Sheamus will win. Sheamus so they can build up his title reign and credibility as champion, or go the other route (first paragraph) by handing the belt to their latest flash in the pan (Swagger_style) |

Why does Miz have to lose the US title to cash in? He could hold both and then "Retire" the US Championship (leaving only the Intercontinental Title)
I really hate the way guys lose the Mid Card belts and then start programs with the Main Eventers. Really makes no sense. Miz loses to Daniel and then wins the WWE Title? |

I can actually see Wade Barrett pinning Jericho for the belt here, giving Jericho some time off to do whatever he has planned and putting over Nexus as actually getting rid of a top star. |

Barrett hits his finisher on someone, Jericho pushes him out of the way and steals the pin/title. Nexus dismantle Jericho and put him out for a while, Miz cashes in and wins.
Jericho returns as a face down the line and feuds with Barrett. This frees up Sheamus to feud with a soon to be returning HHH, after Trips screws him during his 'rematch' at the next PPV Cena/Orton/Edge continue to feud with Nexus until the mystery GM is revealed to be the mastermind behind it all. (I bloody hope it's Shane O'Mac) Cena feuds with the mastermind. Orton and Edge feud with the lesser members of Nexus and give them a rub. This means Edge turning and us seeing a Face 'Rated RKO'. |

I think I would like to see Jericho win only to be cashed in on by Miz. A Miz/Jericho feud would be hot.

Sheamus is gonna hold on to the belt so that HHH can take it from him and when he does it will mean something.

Up until RAW, I was pretty sure Sheamus would be retaining. I mean, look at just who else is in the match:
Chris Jericho: I love Jericho, you love Jericho -- essentially everyone loves this man. But he's been having too much fun putting over guys like Evan Bourne, Wade Barrett and everyone else just by working with them. While Jericho getting only his second reign with the WWE Championship would be good, it'd be pretty left-field, would it not? Edge: If the man can't win the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania with a Royal Rumble win behind him, then I don't really think he's going to take the WWE Title randomly right now. He's Mr. Grand Slam, and has held every title in the WWE at least once. He really doesn't need any more championships, so he immediately takes a back-seat to better choices, in my opinion. John Cena: He really doesn't need the WWE Title right now. He's been enjoyable locked in battle against the Nexus, and having the WWE Title in there confuses things. Plus, a face winning the title in this sort of environment can make their victory look flukey. There is more money in the big "Cena wins the title from Sheamus one-on-one at TLC" sort of build. Randy Orton: He's so over he could win the WWE Title at anytime, but really -- is it good money to slip the belt onto Orton in such a throw-away match? Keep in mind the next PPV is Hell in a Cell. The WWE Title has to be contended in a feud with intensity suitable to the match. Orton could win the title going into that sort of match, but it'd make more sense for him to hold the title coming out of it, if they really wanted to build him up. Wade Barrett: Everyone is pretty high on Barrett right now, and the booking would make sense. Regardless of if they put him in Hell in a Cell against John Cena, or against these same guys again, or even teaming with Nexus; the booking could actually favour the virgin to the World Title scene here. A heel walking out of a Six-Pack Challenge is also more fitting than a babyface doing so. That being said, I think it's most likely we'll see Sheamus continue to hold onto the gold until either a) Triple H returns, or b) Randy Orton takes it from him. Sheamus is the guy with probably the most feud options to go forward. It'd be nice to see the WWE Title sit on one guy for a while longer, too. But now with Jericho throwing that curveball out there -- I've got no real clue who will win. Jericho can lose and come back later, or lose and re-solidify his heel status by going back on his word -- there are ways around this sort of angle. But I could see Jericho winning, and then heading into some sort of clusterfuck Cell Match at the next PPV (probably the same six guys in a similar situation to Armageddon '00), or The Miz then cashing in (even though the timing doesn't feel right). |

I still believe the Miz drops the title to Bryan and then comes out of nowhere and cashes in after Orton has finally won the belt. I believe he and Orton can build enough fuel to make the Hell in a Cell match exciting and Hell in a Cell is the type of gimmick match that won't expose Miz's in ring short comings as much.

Jericho could win then Miz could cash in on him. It even has the possible effect of turning Jericho face, as has been assumed because of his DVD coming out.

Another thing about Wade winning:
The WWE loves him, and he's really grown into his role so naturally and comfortably, but the WWE seems to give a little to Nexus, and then they take it back. I have no doubt in my mind that Wade is a future World Champion, but even though they got to stand over The Undertaker on RAW -- they looked like goofs for a little bit before then. In the main event, Barrett and Nexus technically got a clean victory over Team WWE, but Jericho & Edge played it smart to save energy for Night of Champions, which put Team WWE at a 5-3 disadvantage right from the start. Heath Slater, again, had a career night of sorts, pinning the WWE Champion (adding that to two falls over Chris Jericho, two over Edge and one over Bret Hart), but he was then immediately eliminated by John Cena. Justin Gabriel got to pin Cena (again), but his fall came out of nowhere, and he was then eliminated by Orton fairly quickly. I'm not trying to say that the WWE aren't trying to push Nexus -- they are, and I do believe they are doing so effectively. But putting the WWE Title on Wade Barrett requires a commitment to the guy that I don't think the WWE have quite shown yet. Barrett's dominating the RAW storylines, but at the same time, they're having him "pay his dues." |
