Does the Miz have to cash in MITB for the Raw championship?

I think it would be a pretty nice swerve to have Undertaker win the strap off of Kane and then Miz cash in and steal the victory. Miz is good enough on the mic to build up a decent program with Taker. I don't think he should be the one to break the streak though.

It might be a nice little swerve. If he drops the belt at NOC to AmDrag, he could tease cashing it in against whomever wins the 6 pack challenge (Cena.) Then again, I'd imagine the sexual six-way would be on last. If Kane Taker was main event, it would be more likely, what with it being a good way to end the PPV. (If that makes any sense.)

Yes, the stipulations for the MITB matches were that they could only cash in on their brand's title.

Though that wouldn't stop WWE if they wanted to do this.

Yeah, the contract is exclusive to the RAW Championship.

When I saw this thread, I actually thought it was going to suggest The Miz winning the WWE Title some other way, while still holding onto his briefcase, perhaps as an insurance policy? That'd be a pretty interesting angle.

Sounds like Russo's wet dream in 1998. Fuck the finger poke of doom. Hogan could cash in the MITB contract and then lay down for himself.

I was thinking more along the lines that The Miz could win the WWE Title and then the General Manager announces that he is taking the title shot away from him and awarding it to the winner of a Battle Royal/Ladder Match/tournament, or whatever. The Miz could bitch about conspiracies against him, a face could win the briefcase, cash it in, taunt The Miz, heated feud.

Damn , I didn't realize that... I like this idea... They have switched the belts on brands many times before...

I'd love to see him win the title, lose it, and then use the MitB immediately for a rematch and win it back. It'd be interesting.

I'd love to see him win the Rumble and take it to Mania and win it. He then has a few months in which he can lose it and cash it in.

I can't see Miz sustaining a Mania main event, but that really doesn't matter at this point since they can just throw the SD main event as the actual main event.

OR, and this just came to me as I was writing this post, have Miz win the Rumble, choose the SD champion as his title match at Mania, win it and then cash in and win after the main event. If they want to combine the titles, this would be an amazing way to go and better than the old champion vs champion unification standby.

Only problem is that I don't think Miz could pull that off and not have it come off as a let down at this point.

I have no problem with The Miz holding on to the briefcase til Mania, won't happen though.

Tease it here and there and feud in between with Bryan for a while. Bragging Rights coming up so i'd doubt they'll have a title change til after that.

It'd be nice to have him and the Champion be the sole Raw survivors in an elimination match against SD, then he cashes it in after beating them down. Maybe after pushing him a bit face-ish til then. I thought they might do that at Summerslam.

A bit of originality about the title change might be nice.
