Am I the Only One Starting to Care Less and Less
about WWE programming? Of course during the Monday Night Wars I made sure to tune in every week. Even after that between the Invasion angle, NWO's return, Evolution, Edge's run as the Rated R Superstar, Mickey and Trish, etc... there was a reason to tune in. This past month I feel like if I didn't watch Raw I wouldn't have missed much. Night of Champions was pretty predictable and Randy Orton as a face isn't going to work. Never mind the fact that it seems as if the one bright spot, Jericho, is going to be gone for a while.
TNA in my opinion has more bright spots in it's programming. I'd rather watch Angle vs. Anderson vs. Hardy than Randy Orton vs. Sheamus... again. At least when TNA puts on their shitty women wrestlers they're scantily clad while WWE forces us to watch fully clothed shitty women's wrestling. RVD vs. Abyss should be a good match and even though it's probably going to be a let down, that 10-10-10 thing is intriguing. They're also doing this angle with Nash, Sting, and the Pope that's seems to be promoting some conspiracy theory with Bischoff... again it may be a let down but at least it's intriguing. There's no suspense in WWE programming anymore. It's like there are four things that are inevitable death, taxes, Randy Orton RKOing all of his opponents every night to close Raw, and Cena winning. I think only HHH as a heel could save the show now. |
