New Japan Touring Northeast Next Year

From PWInsider:

New Japan Pro Wrestling will be running at least three events in the Northeastern United States in 2011, PWInsider.com has confirmed.

Jersey All Pro Wrestling will be helping NJPW and working as local promoters for the events. NJPW used Jushin Liger earlier in the year and have plans for Liger to return shortly.

The early word is that NJPW will bring over a troupe of 12 wrestlers and that the first shows aren't slated until at least May 2011.

Hopefully the 12 wrestlers are big names, and not crappy young lions.

If some combination of Nakamura, Tanahashi, and Nagata come over, I am there.

From PWInsider:

The plan for the May 2011 New Japan Pro Wrestling events, which will be promoted with JAPW, is for New Japan to run the ECW Arena in Philadelphia, the Rahway Rec Center and a third location in the New York City area I haven't confirmed.

Definitely going to the Rahway show.

I wished NJPW came down to Atlanta. They used to work with WCW, so it would've made sense. But I'm willing to go Northeast to see the shows.

NJPW...ICHIBAN!!!

Not going to lie, pretty goddamn jealous. While there's a lot of talent on the roster that would be a treat to see perform in person, one name is above all others: Jushin F'N Liger. Watching tapes is one thing, but seeing him in person, that'll be a dream come true.

I hope they bring in any of the following active New Japan wrestlers that hadn't came to the U.S. in ages...

Takashi Iizuka (hasn't been in the U.S. since May 1992)
AKIRA (hasn't been in the U.S. since June 1992)
Koji Kanemoto (hasn't been in the U.S. since December 1995)
Manabu Nakanishi (hasn't been in the U.S. since July 1996)
